NEIGHBOURS describe hearing screaming and crying from the house where a mother and her preschool aged daughter were found dead yesterday.
The woman’s husband, arrived at their Pascoe Vale home in Melbourne’s north yesterday afternoon and found the bodies, reports Herald Sun.
The 39-year-old female and three-year-old girl were located shortly after 5.30pm.
Neighbour, Mohammed Assaad, said he ran outside to comfort the husband.
“He came home, he walked inside and then came out and just started screaming,” Mr Assad said
“He was just screaming and crying, couldn’t really understand what he was saying.”
Mr Assaad said the scene was “really distressing”.
“I ran outside, I sent my two neighbours inside,” he said.
“I gave him (the husband) a seat and offered him some water.”
Mr Assaad said the family were quiet and the whole street was shocked at the terrible events of yesterday.
“You just wouldn’t expect something like this from that household, they were a friendly family,” he said.
Police are still investigating the case.
