Jenny Evans is a mum to six kids. You can imagine the question she gets asked ALL the time!

In a hilarious video posted to her Facebook page, Jenny tackles the absurd question with some very hilarious responses.

Some of her replies include:

“I like to answer lots of nosey questions!”

“I kept all my plants alive so I thought this was the next step?”

“Honestly, I am just trying to bug you! Is it working?”

“I am trying to start a basketball team.”

“Trying to get in the guinness book of records.”

Watch below.

Want to know the real reason? “It’s because I like them!”

  • Imagine when Mums often had 10 or more children back in the 1800s and early 1900s.
They coped. No mod cons. to help them with washing, cooking, sewing, knitting etc. They made most of the familys’ clothes too. They had big yards and as a family they learnt to be as self-sufficient as possible. If they lived on a farm, the ladies often churned the butter too. The men went out into the paddocks or other jobs at daylight and came in when it was going dark. If they had cows they were all hand milked, no milking machines for many years.

  • I don’t think I’d ever ask anyone the reason for the number of kids they have – it’s none of my business, and in some cases there might be painful answers.

  • When I had my son and people asked “where did this little guy come from?” I’d always say “Aldi, can get anything there”.

  • I wouldn’t either. But a lot of people have no shame in asking. ;-)

  • Some are able to handle lots of children and some aren’t. I wouldn’t be nosy and ask someone why they had “x” number of children.

  • 4 biological and 3 step kids here, would have more if my body could handle it

  • I’ve 2 kids of my own, 2 kids in permanent care under guardianship order and 2 kids in temporary care. I love kids, they’re a blessing.

  • Mother of six here and love them all. Some huge spaces in between , this has just helped with the love that is shared. It is no bodies business why you have so many as sometimes it can not be helped. a lady here south of Perth had five in one plus two older children at home. They did not plan that one.

  • I only had 2 kids and am constantly amazed at parents who have lots of kids. It’s awesome but expensive and time consuming
