My kids were so fussy with food when they were younger and while they are getting much better now, as a parent I can totally relate to this video created by imomsohard.

The imomsohard FB page is filled with hilarious videos of parenting, marriage and just life itself videos.

Kristen and Jen describe themselves on their FB page as “Two moms. (Not married.) (Actually, married. Just not to each other.) Four kids. Two husbands. 3 dogs. Minimally, 2 glasses of wine. Lots of laughs.”

Are your kids fussy eaters?

  • I loved this video. I remember having one of my nieces staying and I served up a meal that included carrots. She refused to eat it so I had to bribe her by saying eat one slice of the carrot and you can have sweets. She now eats lots of veges and her favourite is carrots. All that fuss for nothing. I learnt with my boys. I’d make casseroles and soups with heaps of veges and they love them.

  • Funny and true. My daughter is so fussy and although we try to give her new things and make it fun etc, she still won’t budge. Hopefully she will be into more variety as she gets older.

  • I couldn’t get past them constantly saying the word ‘like’ in every sentence, did think that the paediatrician is making a fortune out of these two. Parents need to take back the authority and start parenting, I’m aware that everyone has dislikes but when they take over the household and have you running at the ‘little monsters’ beck and call, it’s time to call a halt, you are not a slave.

  • Haha, very funny. My son was kind of fussy which resulted in us eating a lot of chicken, but I have always refused to make separate meals. My son eats what we eat.

  • Couldn’t see the video.
I’m thankful my kids are good eaters. They even ask me to make Brussels sprouts, broccoli, sauerkraut and lettuce. Fair enough there are dishes that the one or the other doesn’t like so much, but that’s ok and they’ll still eat it. I always say that I’m not a restaurant and can’t cook something what 6 people evenly like (except when it’s lasagna) although I try.

  • Yes my little one is becoming fussy particularly not wanting to eat her greens.

  • I fed my son whatever we ate from the age of six months. Thankfully I feel my technique has worked as he eats anything we eat with no issues. I have also heard when kids feet are grounded they are less fussy.
