Children can choak on anything. If we refused to give our kids everything that a child has had issues with then there would be nothing left. It happens….the rule is NEVER leave your child alone when they are eating.

I don’t like lollypops for that reason.

Luckily she knew what to do otherwise it could have ended differently. There are a lot of things out there that we don’t know the dangers of until it’s too late

I often see children run with these darn things sticking out of their mouths …it frightens me and gives me the horrors..if they fell the lolly pop could be shoved down their throat.

If she didn’t have experience in the field it could have been alot worse!

Wow, I’m not a huge fan of lollipops for kids. I don’t know what age becomes suitable, but perhaps later school aged when they can handle them a little better.

“If” my kids ever had/have a lollipop they have to eat it sitting on the couch with me next to them. Have heard to many horror stories about kids choking of they run around and the whole lollypop stick and all gets stuck in their throat because they fell with it in their mouth.

I don’t understand why people would feed lollipops to their kids at all.

Never gave lollipops to my children until the were at school at the school fete’s.

My kids and I are not fans of lollipops I never buy them

Thankfully we have never had this scary experience with lollypops.

I don’t think we need to ban lollipops. Just be aware of tge dangers and don’t give them to young children. My kids never had them for this exact reason
