Featuring puppies, pecs and plenty of eye candy, this smoking hot calendar is raising money for an important cause.
The 2019 Australian Firefighters Calendar is here and rather than putting out fires, these guys are heating things up for Aussie charities, including $2 from every calendar sold going to the farmer’s relief fund, news.com.au reports. With five different versions to choose from, the calendar features a selection of Australia’s hottest firemen posing alongside animals from Australia Zoo, as well as a number of rescue dogs, cats and horses.
Getting Bigger and Stronger
The director of the calendar, David Rodgers, told news.com.au that they remain passionate about the charitable contribution made by its production. “Every year we continue to get bigger and stronger,” he said. “We are proud to have another year supporting Australia’s wildlife. It’s (also) vital that we support these farmers during the drought. A lot of our model firefighters are from these rural areas. We had to jump in and really work to support the boys.”
Supporting Local Initiatives
The success of the calendar over the past four years has meant that the project has been able to support local initiatives, including charities like Healing Hooves which uses horses as a form of therapy for people with mental disabilities and war veterans suffering from PTSD. Since the first edition of the calendar in 1993, almost $3 million dollars has been raised for Australian charities.
What an amazing way to raise money for these incredible charities and we have to admit that the calendar is pretty easy on the eyes too.
