Hello!

We may have been brought up to Never Eat Soggy Weet-Bix, but this year’s brekky sensation is all about letting your Weet-Bix get gooey and soggy. Get ready to fall in love with Overnight Weet-Bix.

Overnight oats have had their time in the sun, and it’s time to make way for a new, easy overnight brekky addiction. While the thought of eating soggy Weet-Bix has divided opinions, the overwhelming consensus is that Overnight Weet-Bix are delish, full of protein and the perfect easy start to the day.

What are Overnight Weet-Bix?

Overnight Weetbix recipes

Overnight Weet-Bix are a Tik-Tok trend that lean into the same idea as overnight oats or even chia pudding. The base is made by mixing Weet-Bix with a milk of your choice to make them into almost a paste-like consistency. They’re then spread along the bottom of a container to form the base. They are then topped with anything from yoghurt to fruit.

Much like overnight oats, Overnight Weet-Bix can be jazzed up with dozens of different ingredient combinations to suit different tastes.

Why we love Overnight Weet-Bix

Firstly, we love being organised! And having a nutritious, easy breakfast ready in the morning for everyone in the family just makes the day start off so much smoother!

Secondly, they taste amazing! Add whatever you like to suit the different tastes in the families, and it’s also a great way to introduce new tastes to your toddler.

Once you’ve got your basic Weet-Bix layer sorted (Weet-Bix and milk, pressed into the bottom of a container), the toppings are really just anything that takes your fancy. Yoghurt is great, as is fruit. Mix in flavours like peanut butter or jam and even chocolate. Just keep your portion on the small side and it’s still a healthy brekky.
