Rock star Pink has opened up about motherhood in a candid interview on the red carpet at the recent UNICEF Snowflake Ball, where she and her husband Carey Hart were celebrating Pink becoming an ambassador for UNICEF.

The talented and energetic singer shared her fears about raising her 4-year-old daughter Willow.

“What scares me more is having a breakable child,” she said. “She needs to be out in the world and be able to do things for herself.”

“She’s very capable, she’s very physical. I started out with her where I was gonna get her a bubble and never let her out of it but I, you know, she’s, she’s good.”

Pink also appeared on the Jimmy Fallon this week where she talked about Willow loving motorcross riding like her Dad Carey, who is a retired racer.

Pink also mentioned that Willow might follow in her footsteps.

“She does silks as well…the ribbon I hang from occasionally,”

I think we all parents have fears about raising our kids and it’s refreshing to see that Pink is no different.

  • I think it’s important to teach kids to be responsible so they will not take unnecessary risks, and also resilient, so that if things don’t work out, they’ll get back up and keep going.

  • Her fears are so real. It’s interesting to hear celebrities talking like this – they probably have a whole raft of very real fears we will never have. We all have to let go gradually.
