What did put aside this week so you could play with your kids?

How important is it to you that your kids remember the fun things they did with you?

Much MoM Love,

  • I had someone tell me earlier this week (thanks MIL!) that I should spend less time with my toddler, and more time cleaning. Pffft, our house is neat enough… My little guy wants to make memories with mumma <3

  • We climbed a mountain with our kids a couple of weeks back and they are still talking about it! I try to do a lot of my work at night when they are asleep to have more time to spend with them during the day.

  • Nikki this is such an important reminder to us all. We all run around so busy with the demands of modern life but sometimes get so caught up we forget about the things that are most important to us out children and playing with them. A friend of mine once told me “in 30 years who is going to care whether or not the ironing was done.”

  • Very true. And sometimes you can multi-task the two things, i.e. I have some very fond memories of helping my mum with work and cooking!

  • We make special memories all the time lets hope these are the memories the kids hold onto.

  • The times playing sure will be what they’ll remember 🙂 The painting, playing, cooking, crafts, bike rides, trips to the park, all the fun things 🙂

  • I hope my kids remember the fun times we had when they are older! I don’t want to just be remembered as the mum who looked after the household routines.

  • Ahh this is lovely. IT’s so so true. My fondest memories of my family are when we would play backyard cricket, go to the beach and ‘surf’ on my Dad’s knees. So important to cherish the times while they’re young.
