Mum shares why it isn’t funny to joke about pregnancy on April Fools’ Day.

Pregnancy is NOT an April Fools’ joke: ‘This is why it’s not funny to lie about being pregnant’ Kayla shared on Love What matters.

For Kayla Lee Welch, the pain of losing a child is all too real, and she doesn’t think the news of having a baby is something to be taken lightly.

“This is why your April fools joke isn’t funny.

This is why it’s not funny to lie and joke about being pregnant.

This is what it looks like to have a miscarriage.

Please think twice before you post that April Fools’ joke. Because what’s funny for a second in your eyes crushes someone else’s heart for eternity.”

One year after her heartbreaking post, Kayla Lee is now pregnant with her Rainbow baby. She wrote an update recounting the devastation she felt in the moments she realized she was miscarrying to reinforce her message that pregnancy is not a laughing matter. She also explains why she is now at peace with her miscarriage.

  • I am currently pregnant again after a miscarriage last year. With my first born, I was so excited and happy. Last year, I was excited to be having a sibling for my daughter. Then I miscarried at 9.5weeks and I won’t be the same ever again. I wasn’t excited this time, I was scared to even try. I’m 17 weeks now, have confirmed a heartbeat and even felt movements for a few weeks, with scan 2 soon. Yet I still check for blood everyday, worry when I don’t feel movements and wonder how far ill get this time. I’ve tried talking to those closest to me, but no one wants to talk to me about it. Everyday I just try to remind myself that my daughter was premature and thrived, so this one can too.
Fake pregnancy is not a joke.
