NSW police have trapped a man in an online string, charging him with child grooming offences.

Police were posing as a 14-year-old girl online, when the Lake Illawarra man allegedly sent explicit photos and made sexually explicit comments to them.  He also discussed meeting the user he thought was a child.

Police arrested the man in Parramatta on Friday morning, and he was charged with using a carriage service to procure persons under 16 years of age.

The man, who was refused bail, is scheduled to face Parramatta Local Court later today.

  • At least the police are preventing some of these people from meeting kids.
