Police are appealing for public assistance after a pregnant woman had her mobile phone stolen at a large Doncaster shopping centre on Saturday.
Police have stated the 38-year-old was sitting outside a toy store fiddling with her iPhone 6 about 3pm while waiting for her husband and young child before an unknown man simply snatched it from her hand and ran off.
In an attempt to retrieve the expensive device the woman, who is seven months pregnant, went to give chase.
While getting up to chase the thief she suddenly tripped and fell as the man escaped out a door and into the car park.
Nearby shoppers assisted however the woman was in such pain she was taken to a hospital for assessment.
She was released late that night and thankfully her unborn baby was not harmed.
The matter was reported to police shortly after and the following images and CCTV has been released depicting a man who may be able to assist police with their investigation.
