A pregnant woman has been tasered after a thief broke-in to her home.

Police allege the man broke-in and assaulted the woman inside the Morphett Vale property  in Adelaide’s south, just after 9pm last night.

It is believed two women were inside the home at the time.

The bandit tasered the pregnant woman before stealing two mobile phones and a purse. He then fled the property and remains on the run.

The pregnant woman was taken to hospital as precaution. But appeared unharmed.

Police believe both women know the alleged attacker and investigations are ongoing.
