Prince George poses for his very first postage stamp. That cheeky little face. Swoon!

Standing on a pile of foam blocks, holding Daddy’s hand just in case, Prince George poses for his very first postage stamp alongside his father, his grandfather – and the great-grandmother whose face has appeared on more stamps than anyone in history.

Ahead of the Queen’s 90th birthday tomorrow, the Royal Mail has released this historic image.

It is the scene on a new sheet of four commemorative First Class stamps.

Photographed by Ranald Mackechnie, it is the first time George has appeared on a British stamp and was released in celebration of the Queen’s 90th birthday on April 21.

The Daily Mail reports, the trickiest part was ensuring that all the principals were at roughly the same height and spaced evenly apart.

That is because each face has to fit neatly inside its own perforated outline on each sheet of four stamps.

According to royal aides, he was ‘as good as gold’ during the shoot which lasted around 25 minutes.

The image does appear to be from the same series when the world first met Princess Charlotte last year? Or that cute outfit just got a good work out. Which we don’t blame them for!

Can he get any cuter?! Love this kid.

How gorgeous it would be great if we saw more children on stamps, instead of building and wildlife. Children are beautiful and creative in all walks of life.

Prince George has such an adorable smile. A 25 minute photo shoot would have been an ordeal for a little one. I’m certain my kids couldn’t hold still for longer than 5 minutes.
