Haven’t bought these for years! Seems it’s only an issue if you suffer gluten intolerance, that’s not too serious is it?!

So it’s only an issue if you have gluten intolerance? Otherwise it’s no problem to keep these?

From the recall I would say the packets are not correctly labelled. You wouldn’t expect rice to have gluten added to it. You obviously know a lot about gluten intolerance….and also Coelic Disease. There may be a high risk of cross contamination. I am wondering if they contain glucose syrup made from wheat which as you obviously know is highly processed so it is classed as gluten free….However if you are allergic to wheat you can’t have it. I have a nephew with Coelic Disease. which in a very % is genetic.

Good to know – people I know that are on gluten free diets do not eat these anyway.

The presence of gluten in a product what is labelled as gluten-free is very wrong and potential dangerous for some !
I wasn’t keen to buy this product anyway, as it’s so processed and contains ingredients I don’t like.

  You have to be so careful with allergies – I always cook from scratch for anyone with allergies to ensure food is safe.

Did it have gluten free written on it? I would assume that unless it says otherwise it would either have gluten (and other allergens for that matter) or has been processed in an environment where it is present
