ACCC have issued a recall for the IKEA Pty Limited — GLIVARP Dining Table due to injury risks.

Product description:

Dining table with extension –  Steel/aluminium frame with frosted glass table top

What are the defects?

IKEA has received customer reports of the extension piece in the GLIVARP extendable dining table detaching from the rails and falling.

What are the hazards?

Risk of injury from falling extension piece.

What should consumers do?

IKEA urges all customers who own a white frosted GLIVARP table to return the product to IKEA for a full refund. No receipt or proof of purchase is required.

  • Love Ikea and thankfully do not have any glass top tables. Not a fan of glass top tables for so many reasons, including safety. Thanks for the recall notice.
