IKEA is recalling a popular beach chair over fears it poses a serious safety risk to customers.
The MYSINGSÖ beach chair, which comes in a variety of patterns and colours, has been pulled from shelves both nationally and internationally.
The Swedish furniture giant says the recall is due to the “possibility of incorrect re-assembly after removing the fabric seat cover,” IKEA said in a statement.
“Incorrect re-assembly can lead to risk of falls or finger entrapment.”
The recalled chairs are listed below:
MYSINGSÖ beach chair, grey. Article No. 903.120.21
MYSINGSÖ beach chair, light blue. Article No. 703.120.22
MYSINGSÖ beach chair, llight red. Article No. 803.120.26
Customers who have purchased the MYSINGSÖ beach chair before February 2017 have been urged to return it to any IKEA store for a full refund. Proof of purchase is not required.
