It has been reported Police have rushed to the scene of a high school stabbing on the Gold Coast.
The 15-year-old victim, believed to have been in an incident with an ex-student, has been taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The same school, Miami State High School, has already been involved in a similar incident earlier this year with a lockdown in January after a student made shooting threats.
Update 25 Nov 11am
A 15-year-old boy has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm. It is believed the incident occured after a Facebook feud.
Friends told The Courier Mail the stabbing was due to an feud that began with a spat on Facebook.
The boy remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital after undergoing surgery following the attack yesterday 200 metres from his school.
Detective Inspector Mark White said: “We definitely are concerned about this level of violence on the streets so close to a school.”
“There are other ways to mediate issues without resorting to violence and in this case, extreme violence.”
