The Woolworths Creamy Chicken Pasta Salad Kit is pre-cooked and deliciously flavoured. The salad combines chicken, pasta,  corn, parsley and caramalised red onion chutney, in a roasted garlic dressing.

All ingredients are packaged separately within the larger salad container for freshness and crunch. So all you have to do is mix them together just before serving.

How easy is that?  No needing to buy (and prepare) all the separate ingredients!  Just tip into a bowl, mix and serve.

We think these Woolworths Salad Kits are a brilliant idea for those times when you’re asked to bring a salad along to a BBQ or party … or even a picnic!  And they are absolutely an inspired choice for busy weeknight dinners when you only have minutes to put dinner together.

    Second time around

    I bought this salad again last week and tailored it to my taste, after trying it the first time at the original home trial, with the ingredients in the original tub.
    I like it as the original for a side dish when you have 4 people, but as we’re a couple we wouldn’t eat it all in one go.
    This time we had half for lunch with added corn and tinned peas, fresh sliced Spanish onions and some grated extra tasty cheese. The second half we had on it’s own for dinner the next day.
    I took all the basil leaves off before I mixed in the other ingredients, because if you don’t eat it all straight away the basil leaves become soggy and unappetising.
    I have tried 2 types now and think this is a good one for lunches or any meals.
    Definitely a healthy alternative to sandwiches and wraps.

    Delicious!

    We chose to have the Creamy Chicken Pasta Salad for lunch and it was great! Huge pieces of chicken and the caramelised red onion chutney was delicious. I really enjoyed the roasted garlic dressing! I was extremely impressed with the quality, the taste and the ability to mix the salads anywhere. They will be great for a quick easy dinner on a hot night!

    Convenient, healthy and delicious

    I really enjoyed it great flavours and very fresh, only thing that I would change would be the mayonnaise to egg mayonnaise

    Fantastic!

    My kids and I grabbed this when we were out and about for a quick lunch. Very convenient and we all loved it. The flavour is great. The only thing I would say but this was just for us, is to not put all the parsley in as it was a lot. Very filling and I think it would be a perfect side or great to grab for the summer BBQ salad.

    I’m buying these for Christmas lunch.
    I love the individual wrapped sauces that keep the whole salad fresh and crisp. It’s great knowing they will stay super fresh till I serve them and know one will know they are store bought because they are like home made. Love these salads so much, super quick and a family favourite here

    Sceptical, not anymore, but pleased

    So I ate a third of the salad on the first day, and posted my first review.
    On the second and third day I found that the basil leaves and parsley became soggy and lost their flavour. I ended up weeding them out of the leftover salad in the tub. I should have thought of removing them on the first day and only mixing in enough for the portion I was planning to eat that day! It may be only me, but I think that Woolworths should place the chicken on top of the pasta and place the basil leaves on the top tray instead, like the parsley. I also decided to add cracked pepper, and didn’t find much sweetcorn in the pasta either.
    I would only use the whole tub of salad for social occasions and BBQs where there are a few more people, and would probably buy this salad and the Greek salad for those times.
    I would buy these salads for myself, but could not eat the whole thing in one day/meal. I would split it into 3 portions, and only mix in the chutney and chicken. I would place the basil and parsley in a small zip lock bag and only put it in at the time of actually eating it. That way, it wouldn’t get limp and soggy and lose it’s great flavour/s. I would probably tweek the salad a bit with cracked pepper and some grated Parmesan cheese to add a different mix to the lunch.
    It would be a great alternative to fast foods, and kill those cravings for unhealthy lunches I tend to have at least once a week at work.
    I think they should increase the number of salads with an extra flavour too, like tuna, corn kernels and walnuts in coleslaw with a ranch dressing. I would buy it and it fits into the healthy category too. I will be buying some more of these salads in the future and will try all of them eventually.

    Incredibly tasty pasta salad!

    The Creamy chicken pasta salad was amazing. It didnt make it onto plates it was that good! The combination of chicken, corn, bacon and pasta was spot on and the addition of the onion chutney made this to die for. I was going to get a picture of our plates but had to get a photo of the empty container instead haha. Definitely reccomend this its a perfect healthy side dish for even the fussiest salad haters.

    Wasn't too impressed for the price

    Wasn’t too impressed, especially for the price. I found it very pricey, and rather small. It fed 2 people, could stretch to 4people if needed.

    Convenience without sacrificing taste

    It took weeks to find these in a nearby Woolworths. They don’t seem to be super widely available, making it hard to plan to have them.

    The salad itself was super easy to prepare, though the amount of plastic was concerning. It was simply a matter of dumping everything into the main compartment and mixing with a spoon.

    The caramelised onion was really good. I have made my own in past, so I have high standards for caramelised onion relish and this met those standards. The creamy pasta dressing was nice, and was in good proportion to the amount of pasta/chicken/etc. The chicken tasted nice, but could have done with more in proportion to the rest.

    To serve with a meal you would definitely need another source of vegetables as, even though this is delicious, this salad really doesn’t have enough vegetables as a meal. I imagine it would work well as a side for lazy nights where you just want to throw some chicken/fish in the oven and not really cook, or as a side at a BBQ where there would be plenty of higher-veg dishes to have it with.

    Our shift worker

    I find the Woolworths salad kit is awesome for a quick grab healthy meal for hubby who is a shift worker . I normally pack his lunch but decided to give this a go . Hubby is not normally big on salad as he is still hungry .
    But he found that it was satisfying.. He works at Green square so he travels from Campbelltown.
    He has fruit to munch on going to work now instead of a packet of crisps
    Salad from Woolworths thank you very much which did enjoy fruit coming home at 9:30 at night . Not getting home till a 11 .. so he misses all the main meals . Now if you are like me and a truly over making for
    Do for shift workers these are perfect . I grab 2 well the other is with him tonight . So no more pizza or maccers for him at work.. looking forward to trying others also ..

    I had trouble finding it in store as it wasn’t with the salads. Great tasting salad with nice bits of chicken. A little pricey for the size but still a quick and convenient meal.

    Very convenient as side or share salad

    Used this as a side salad at dinner. It was so convenient and I could throw it together in a matter of minutes. Also picked up some pre marinated chicken from woolies at the same time so by incorporating the salad I had dinner ready in less than 15 minutes!
