Police confirm a body found washed up on a beach southwest of Melbourne last week are that of missing mum Elisa Curry.
Elisa Curry, 42, was last seen on Saturday 30 September at Aireys Inlet, a small town on the Great Ocean Road.
It was initially believed the mum-of-three went for a run with her dog at 10.30pm on Saturday.
Her remains were found on Wednesday at a Surf Coast beach near Anglesea, just 7km from the Aireys Inlet holiday home where the 43-year-old vanished.
Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious, but the investigation remains ongoing.
Last week Ms Curry’s husband, David, pleaded for her or anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward. “If anyone has seen anything or heard anything, can you please, please call police, please call triple-zero.”
David said the children were also missing their mother.
“I, my kids, want her to come home,” he said yesterday.
“Elisa, if you are out there, can you please contact us. If anyone has seen anything can you please contact us. Thank you.”
