Victoria Police have released CCTV images of a teenage boy they would like to speak to in relation to the sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl.

Officers said the teenage girl from Point Cook was walking home about 5.30pm on February 28 when she was approached from behind by a boy on a bike, who allegedly sexually assaulted her before riding off.

Investigators on Tuesday released CCTV images of a teenage boy they want to talk to about the incident.

He is is believed to be aged in his mid-teens, and was wearing khaki shorts, a blue hooded jumper and Converse shoes.
