Kids, they’re noisy right? Loud little human beings who just love to have fun, so when neighbours of Seven Year Switch star, Cassie Thistleton popped a passive aggressive letter complaining about the ‘really loud noise your children make’, Cassie decided it was time to hit back.

The mum of 3 took to Instagram to reveal the letter her neighbours had left her, she captioned it with “It’s hard to be a positive person in a world where people thrive on negativity and have nothing better to do with their lives than try to bring others down!
THIS letter was left in my letter box today! Funnily enough my children haven’t been home for 5 nights!”

The letter states “I am writing to you to complain about the really loud noise your children make. This is a quiet neighbourhood and you and your kids make it the opposite. The constant screaming from your kids is ridiculous. Everyone in the neighbourhood hears every noise you make when you are outside.

“I have told the people who own your house and so have other neighbours cause they live next to you. But they must be as bad as you cause they haven’t told you to be quiet. Show some respect for the people that live here. Some of us are shift workers and don’t need to hear your kids screaming and yelling. If you won’t stop the noise we will all send letters to the real estate and complain.”

She hit back at the anonymous writer saying

“Apparently I need to bound and gag my children from enjoying themselves In my back yard ???? Seriously, what is this world coming to? My kids are not outside before 9am and are well and truly inside by 5pm and are lucky to play in our concrete backyard once a week!! .
.
In a mature adult sense I approached my neighbours this afternoon to give them the opportunity to have an adult conversation and to let them know that I am the most approachable, accomodating and considerate person who would no doubt respond well to a quiet chat! Surprise surprise the culprit is still unknown and no one owned up to the letter! And I spoke to my realestate today who advised me that children playing in the backyard is absolutely no grounds for a complaint! .
.
Can’t imagine what sort of sad and bitter person you would have to be to have a problem with children making that sweet sound of enjoyment! What a fucking twit!”

  • kids are just being happy and i would rather hear that than heated arguments or hoons on the street! oh well they will either get over it or move along.

  • obviously a ignorant person who has not children could only write this. Children make noise, that is what they do, we make noise when with our children too, that is what parents do. Totally uncalled for.

  • Lol… if I got that letter I would only encourage them to make as much noise as they can between 9am and 5pm. I’d be loud as I could with happy children noises until I drove them to move out!

  • It looks quite inappropriate to me! But yes, you never know which neighbors you get.

  • i had a neighbour scream at my kids one day for playing in the back yard, this idiot had just moved into the unit next door in a neighbourhood with one day care centre, one kindergarten and two schools…..thinking maybe that could have given him the heads up that there would be kids around?

  • It’s really difficult to meet the needs of all neighbours. With higher density housing on the rise there needs to be more consideration and patience from everyone.
