There are two very good reasons this Sleeping Bear Pain au Chocolat recipe has gone viral. Firstly, it’s adorable. I mean actually almost too-cute-to-eat adorable. And secondly, it’s super, duper easy to make.

Digital creator Cristina Yin spends her time dreaming up some of the most unique and visually appealing recipes on social media. And one of her most popular is Sleeping Bear Pain Au Chocolate. A kiddie twist on a puff pastry and chocolate wonder hailing from France.

Cristina’s version is made using store bought puff pastry, little teddy bikkies and dark chocolate. So simple, yet so satisfy. It’s such a gorgeous after school snack that takes minutes to make.

Here’s what you’ll need to make Sleeping Bear Pain au Chocolat:

  • Puff pastry
  • Dark chocolate
  • Tiny Teddy cookies
  • Egg wash
  • Icing sugar

  • Seems easy to make the way Christina Yin does it, but butterfingers me would make an awful mess. Thanks for sharing the recipe and method, it would be great for a child’s party.

  • Cute. Not something I’ve ever tried as a snack, would consider more a treat. But simple to make.
