A grade 4 teacher at Bowen State School in Queensland has given her new students a warm welcome to her class for 2017.

Bowen State School posted the note on their FB page:

With over 30 thousand shares and 2 thousand comments the post has quickly gone viral with praise for the unnamed teacher.

I think it’s a lovely way to welcome the kids to the new class and new year and I am sure it made them all feel cared for.

  • I love teachers who have such passion and commitment to their jobs and their students. No one doubts teaching is such a hard job – but bless all the teachers out there who go above and beyond to assist their students. These teachers impact kids and their parents for years after they are no longer in their class.

  • Well…this teacher gets an A+ for being a wonderful teacher – way to go for inspiring and reassuring children.

    • Hopefully other teachers will take this on board and have a similar letter. Great relationship building between teacher, children and parents.
