US Mum posted on social media praising a young boy for helping her daughter after she unknowingly started her period on the school bus.

The woman originally shared the now-deleted message on Facebook page ‘Gurgaon Moms’ and thanked the pupil’s parents for “raising him right”.

“My daughter started her period on the bus ride home today and a boy a year older than her… that she doesn’t really know… pulled her aside and whispered in her ear that she had a stain on the back of her pants.”

The mother then went on to explain that the young boy offered her daughter his jumper so that she could tie it around her waist when walking home from the bus stop.
She added: “If you are this boy’s mum… I want to say thank you and that you are raising him right!”

The post soon went viral and has since been shared via Reddit where users praised the young boy for his actions.

  • This boy was certainly a very caring young man. What a wonderful thing he did for this young girl.

  • What an amazing boy! Well done to his parents and sisters for teaching him to be sensitive about it…. tho it could have all been him.

  • That story makes me so happy that there are still kind and generous children being raised out there

  • Thank you to the parents. You have taught your son well.

  • Oh thank you to the parents of this wonderful young man! It is such a delight to read such a beautiful story! You have raised your son so well! If only all parents would teach their sons and daughters to be so sinserely sensitive and kind to one another.

  • Well done to this young mans parents for how they’ve obviously bought him up. And well done to him as well. It’s a huge thing for any teen – male or female but this boys reaction and compassion were amazing.
I hope other parents see that periods aren’t only girls or woman’s issues and for boys to have compassion and understanding. Great job mate.

  • What an amazing young man.
I wonder if girls his age would be as considerate?

  • I hope my girls are lucky enough to have someone tell them and be as kind as this young man – what a great person he is

  • What a wonderful boy to be so understanding, mature and empathetic.

  • It’s such a pleasure to read things like this, those parents have taught him well and that boy has started his journey to being a considerate man. Takes balls to approach a girl about something so sensitive but kudos to him!

  • I hope my son grows up to be such a gentleman!

  • What a lovely young man. Such a thoughtful thing to do. His mum and dads chests must be swelling with pride after this

  • What a wonderful and caring young man …well done. Wish there were more like you.

  • Wow this boy is a little super hero. This girl must have been so embarrassed although it’s such a positive experience and lesson of humanity.

  • A real proud parent moment. I hope the boys’ parents find out what an amazing young man they have.
