A teenage model and Instagram sensation has revealed her ‘hell’ with high school bullies who would follow her home, shove her into lockers and ‘spit on’ her.

Maddelyn Rafferty, 17, from Sydney‘s northern beaches, is completing her Year 12 schooling at home as she is continuously trolled online, including having hackers disable her social media accounts after she won a clothing competition.

The teenager, who has 88,000 followers on Instagram and has partied at Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion, is now an ambassador for Bully Zero Australia Foundation and is continuing her online presence as it ‘makes her happy’.

  • Good for her. Obviously the bullies were jealous. So sad that bullies have such low self worth that they have to try and drag others down to their own levels of sadness and misery.

  • Bullies are just very sad people, very bitter and unhappy with the world. I wish this young girl well.

  • Such a beautiful girl. Good for her to succeed. All social media celebrity cope abuse and hackers on instagram. Even the wiggles had it happen

  • Personally I found this story a little strange or may be I just needed a little more background on her?
Her mother was concerned about her instagram account, I would also be concerned about her going to a party at Hugh Hefners playboy mansion at 15 regardless of whether she was with a family friend or not.
Any how I do wish her all the very best and may she succeed in what ever she wishes to do in life.

  • She has nailed how to deal with those bullies so well & proving she is so much better than they are. I can relate to her situation having been bullied from when I started school from kindy till when I left in yr 11. They would follow me home & hide in bushes to ambush me, could not get away from them even when I was in highschool, now I can reflect back on it & realise they were the ones with a problem . I feel sorry for them if their lives were so lacking that they felt jealous of me, mostly bought on because I was the quiet achiever at school & did not have to work hard to get good grades.

  • Bulling is such a massive issue I am with her mum on this one, but wish her the best in modeling

  • I have to agree with her Mum. She should have delayed using Social Media until she finished school but she made her own decision. No doubt she has got behind with her studies and will find it extremely difficult to catch up. I hope she succeeds in a modelling career, especially as she may not have the qualifications to find a good job. If her social media sites are closed at least they can no longer troll her that way.
