The ‘Fill-A-Bag’ for $10 or $20 concept has hit Australia with quite a few stores across the country inviting shoppers to grab as many goodies as they can into a single bag for a set price.

This week the bargain sale happened at Foote’s Pharmacy in Queensland – and customers have been lining up all day for the opportunity to fill a bag of goodies for just $19.95.

Ally Fashion has also offered fill-a-bag for $10 promotions – and other fashion stores have followed suit.

One bargain shopper took to the Markdown Addicts Australia Facebook page to show a photo of her bargain score.

‘At Foote’s chemist today $19.95 fill a bag,’ she wrote. ‘I walked out with two bags full and going back later when new stock out again.

‘I’ve worked out so far each bag would have been over $100 worth of stuff I have just in a bag lol. And OMG I’m filling them to max!’

Priceline and Chemist Warehouse also have their goodie bags sale throughout the year.

Where else have you spotted a good “fill-a-bag” bargain?

  • I’ve never heard of this until now!
    What’s the incentive behind it?
This wound be so good for the less fortunate.
Hopefully they get in first so that they can get as many essentials as they can.

  • Never heard of anything like this!

  • ooohhh… I’d love t o hear about these when they come t o sydney

  • I’ve not heard of these but can imagine their popularity.

  • I’ll have to keep my eyes open for this

  • I have heard of a couple of pharmacy groups doing this. They are responsible in that they check what is in them as large quantities of some products used orally would be toxic if people make silly decisions bases on the quantity they have.

  • I haven’t seen this in my area but it would be good if it did come up.
I do wonder if they restrict certain items from being included

  • I love the idea but I’ve never seen or heard of it before

  • I wish this trend was more wide spread. The only place I have ever seen this offer was in a Charity Shop so they could move stock ready for the next truckload.

  • Most likely would not be able to fill the bag with anything I want, most of it is just cheap, nasty toxic products.

  • Scrolling through the comments, it doesn’t appear many people have seen this deal around. I would love it though!

  • Have never seen this in my area. It seems too good to be true, so what’s the catch? No store could allow what was pictured to be sold for just $19.95 – they’d go broke. So normally they charge a lot more for their goods to compensate? I don’t know the answer but the old saying is ‘If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.’

  • Have yet to see one of these deals any where near where I live.

  • I would love to do this. I love a great bargain.

  • It seems from the comments an elusive deal!
