Hello!

Yes!! Our favourite ’90s detective pair is back in the third installment of the Bad Boys movie – this one called Bad Boys for Life.

It’s been 16 years, since Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, teamed up on the fierce streets of Miami. And by the looks of the preview, this movie is going to be full of fun. However, fans have spent less time commenting on the plot, and have rather focused teasing Lawrence on his appearance.

The trailer shows Lawrence messing up an interrogation of a tattooed suspect.
“I’m gonna penetrate this man’s soul with my heart,” says Lawrence, before getting knocked out with a punch.
Smith retorts: “How deep do you think you got into his soul?”

Fat-Shamed

Since the trailer has been released, Will Smith’s partner-in-crime has been the subject of ridicule, with the twitter tweets flowing:

The Movie Story

But back to the plot. In this movie, Detective Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) is thinking about retiring from the police force. But Detective Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) convinces him that he should leave more of a legacy than “body shots and bodies.” So they decide to team up for a final time to bring down a Miami cartel boss.

The cast also includes Vanessa Hudgens, Charles Melton and Alexander Ludwig. The movie will hit our screens on 16 January 2020.

  • So mean how they are fat shaming Martin Lawrence, I think he’s such a great actor!
I loved all the bad boys movies, even this one and I honestly didn’t even notice he had put on any weight!

  • Love this and can’t wait to see it. Very sad about people keyboard warrioring tho, I hope they are 100% happy with their own bodies and health

  • My gosh, seriously, enjoy the movie for what it is.

  • I don’t really remember the original but I would watch this one if I got a chance. People need to be practicing more kindness, just unnecessary comments who cares if he’s put on weight.

  • Can’t wait to watch…. Bad boys has been one of my all time fav movies since I first seen them in highschool. People need to get a life and stop being so nasty

  • They are great movies! I would definitely look to watch the new one and people need to get a life. They think it is okay to pick on people just because they are famous.

  • Yayyyyy, we are huge Bad Boys fans in our house. I can’t wait for this. It will be great fun for all of us. And fat shaming… well, women have been fat shamed FOREVER. But, it’s not okay. And how you do that from watching that trailer. How do you pick on Martin’s weight from that? Seriously. Never okay, but phew… get real.

  • Very sad, hopefully those people don’t “get fat” with age. And who knows what was wanted for the film. Usually stars fit the role so maybe it’s intended.

    Reply

  • Well of course they are older and most of the time, as we age we put on weight. Hate fat shamers.

    Reply

  • Never seen the movie, fat shaming has become so common that people no longer see its wrong

    Reply

  • Fat shaming is just ridiculous. 16 years on and I would expect them to look a little different.

    Reply

  • I have never watch them before.

    Reply

  • I’ve never watched these movies. Not my kind of thing.
