Hello!

It seems as if we’re going to be stuck with this homeschooling gig for the next few weeks (or even months). So rather than rage and resist, we thought we’d make learning-from-home-life easier for you and share our favourite list of the best online learning apps and websites for kids.

1) Online Tutoring With Kinetic Education

Now is the perfect time to get your kids English and Maths skills up to scratch. And the BEST news is that you don’t have to do it all yourself.

Kinetic Education has been specialising in online tutoring for Kinder all the way up to Year 12 for over 28 years so they really are the experts in this whole online learning thing. I’ve only been teaching for two weeks and I’m already about to go on strike. So I’m ecstatic to hand over to Kinetic Education for help.

The company was founded by a husband and wife team whose own child was struggling with a hearing problem and has helped over 80,000 children in Australia to help children meet and even exceed their potential

Kinetic Education assesses your child and sets them activities to do, so there is no guessing what your child needs to do next. A personalised learning program is created especially for your child giving them all the support they need to understand the Australian Curriculum. Kids are even rewarded with real prizes.

The primary strength of the Kinetic Education offering lies in their tutor support, which provides support for students so that you can be confident that your kids are on the right track to achieve.

And as an added plus – the Kinetic Education program is so affordable and fantastic value for money.

Register on the Kinetic Education website to get Two Weeks FREE Tutoring (only available to children that have not previously received any free tutoring from Kinetic Education.)

2) Reading Eggs

Never before has ABC Reading Eggs become such an integral part of our online learning days. I love that when my kids are doing Reading Eggs, I don’t have to worry about teaching them – Reading Eggs does all the hard work for me (and I can escape for a sneaky glass of wine!).

During stressful times like these, ABC Reading Eggs believe that parents and carers require as much support as possible. ABC Reading Eggs is helping families make the most of their award-winning online resources for home learning – something that has now become especially important with the COVID-19 outbreak and so many kids learning from home.

The ABC Reading Eggs online learning platform is an excellent way to help kids from 2-13 years of age to continue building essential skills from home, and provides a comprehensive range of resources, including self-paced lessons, multiple learning areas, assessment quizzes, and automated progress reports.

AMAZING NEWS: All new customers will receive FREE a 30-day trial to the extensive variety of ABC Reading Eggs online learning programs. After signing up, new and existing customers also have access to over 500 printable worksheets and detailed lesson plans if you’d like to support your child’s home learning even further.

3) Learn Primary

I really like how Learn Primary takes the pressure off parents to teach their kids at home. This online learning program is designed to allow primary school students to navigate through the lessons that are based on the curriculum. As parents, you have a dedicated parent portal to track the progress of your child and help them with their learning if needed.

Learn Primary recognises that each child learns at a different pace and the adaptive logic built into the platform guides a child’s learning based on their needs.
The program offers hundreds of learning animations based on key learning objectives for Maths & English as well as thousands of practice and assessment questions to reinforce learning.

Sign up now for two weeks free trial.

4) Twinkl

Twinkl is a massive online learning collection of educational resources that can be used at each step of a child’s learning journey.

The Twinkl teacher-created resources provide entire schemes of work, lesson planning and assessments right through to online educational games, augmented reality and so much more.

The Twinkl website was launched over 10 years ago and now offers over 525,000 resources and new content gets added every day.

You can even create your own teaching resources using the interactive Twinkl Create.

5) Splash Learn

Splash Learn is a fun online learning program transforming the way primary school children in grades K-5 learn and study maths through a highly engaging, and personalised program. SplashLearn is available across all digital platforms (iOS, Desktops, Android) and has been used by more than 30-Million students worldwide.

6) Discovery #MindBlown

Discover #MindBlown is a free online learning app that inspires kids to question what they know and ask the big questions about the world around us. The app encourages a passion for science through interactive games, fun facts and activities.

7) Scholastic Learn At Home

Scholastic Learn at Home provides 20 days’ worth of active learning journeys designed to reinforce and sustain educational opportunities for those students who are unable to attend school. The website features day-by-day projects to keep kids reading, thinking, and growing.

It also has an interactive story starter feature which gives kids creative prompts to write their own stories.

These online learning programs, websites and apps are all top-notch, five-star and professional resources to help your homeschooling experience go smoothly.
