OMG We have just heard that Bluey and his fam are hitting the theatre in Bluey’s first-ever live stage show, called Bluey’s Big Play!

First, we shared our excitement about the launch of awesome Bluey merchandise (plush toys, figurines and books) in time for Christmas.

But in even more thrilling news, the Bluey creators have announced that a stage production will be touring Australia next year. That’s right – you and the kids will finally get to see Bluey, Bingo, Bandit and Chilli do their think live in the theatre.

A Show For The Whole Family

Presented by BBC Studios and Andrew Kay, “Bluey’s Big Play will bring to life the charmingly everyday world of Australia’s favourite TV family. Playful, touching and a little bit cheeky, this theatrical event about big and little sisters, family and the joy of play, promises to be a delightful theatrical experience for children and their grown-ups. For real life.”

We can already guess that the show will be action-packed with all the signature Bluey giggles and the brilliant one-liners from dad-of-the-year, Bandit Heeler.

There is no hint yet whether any of the secondary characters, such as Uncle Stripe or teacher Calypso will be making appearance…but we certainly can’t wait to find out.

The show will debut at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre in Brisbane as part of its Out of the Box Festival lineup in May 2020.

The play will then tour around the country, performing over 50 shows in various venues around Australia.

I Want Tickets Now!

Mark your calendars now as tickets will go on sale from next year Feb. In the meanwhile Bluey fans can join the waitlist by registering at blueylive.com.

We are counting down on our paws.
