Hello!

The ‘people’ have picked! ALDI Australia has revealed its most popular products, as voted by their customers.

Aldi recently hosted a nationwide consumer-voted awards program designed to uncover Australia’s favourite ALDI products. The People’s Picks was designed for our customers to pick Australia’s favourite ALDI products across 10 categories, from Personal Care to Bakery, to Snacks and Sweets.

And now the votes have been tallied and we’ve got all the results of The People’s Picks.

Surprise!

There were a few surprises. The ever-popular Veuve Monsigny Brut Champagne, which you can pick up for only $21.99, was inched out of pole position by South Pinot Estate Rosé, priced at a mere $4.99. This humble South Australian wine has picked up a number of prestigious awards over the past few years, so perhaps it’s not that surprising that this bottle has taken the top prize.

Other notable winners include the Cowbelle Tasty Cheese in the Fridge, Dairy and Eggs category, which beat some stiff competition including the Emporium Selection Le Pave Cheese, which sold out really quickly last year.

“We are very particular about what we sell, especially with our limited range of products. Every item passes through a rigorous quality control process to ensure that it exceeds the high standards our customers have come to expect”, said Scott Tyler, Quality Assurance Director, ALDI Australia.

  • I don’t use any of these products as I don’t shop at Aldi.

  • I feel there are better options available , but each to their own

  • I refuse to buy from Aldi as they are a private concern and not listed on our stock exchange like Coles and Woolies are so therefore all our super funds can not share in the profits they make to help our final super figure when we retire.
On top of which I wouldn’t buy any of those items for my personal use in the first place.

  • I’ve heard that some families save a lot of money by shopping there. Apparently they have a lot of food suitable for people with special dietary needs. They have the best Gluten Free Bread – softer, moister and stays like that for a few days. It is also cheaper than other supermarkets even when they have it on special. A lot of Gluten free bread is hard and dry in consistency + goes stale quickly.
They cater for a lot of special dietary needs where a lot of other supermarkets are deleting quite a few products. It is difficult for people with Diabetes and Lactose Intolerance at most other supermarkets.

  • It’s funny, I don’t generally shop at Aldi but I have so many friends that share food with me that they have purchased from Aldi. It’s just not as convenient for me to visit vs Coles.
