A touching post has connected with mothers all over the world.

The post originally shared on the Facebook page Latched and Attached, had us all nodding and wiping tears from our cheeks as we feel like someone finally understands us.

“To the mom hiding in her bathroom, needing peace for just one minute, as the tears roll down her cheeks..

To the mom who is so tired she feel likes she can’t function anymore and would do anything to lay down and get the rest she needs…

To the mom sitting in her car, alone, stuffing food in her face because she doesn’t want anyone else to see or know she eats that stuff…

To the mom crying on the couch after she yelled at her kids for something little and is now feeling guilty and like she is unworthy…

To the mom that is trying desperately to put those old jeans on because all she really wants is to look in the mirror and feel good about herself…

To the mom that doesn’t want to leave the house because life is just too much to handle right now…

To the mom that is calling out for pizza again because dinner just didn’t happen the way she wanted it to…

To the mom that feels alone, whether in a room by herself or standing in a crowd…

You are enough.
You are important.
You are worthy.

This is a phase of life for us. This is a really really hard, challenging, crazy phase of life.

In the end it will all be worth it. But for now it’s hard. And it’s hard for so many of us in many different ways. We don’t always talk about it, but it’s hard and it’s not just you.

You are enough.
You are doing your best.
Those little eyes that look up at you – they think you are perfect. They think you are more than enough.

Those little hands that reach out to hold you – they think you are the strongest. They think you can conquer the world.

Those little mouths eating the food you gave them – they think that you are the best because their bellies are full.

Those little hearts that reach out to touch yours – they don’t want anything more. They just want you.

Because you are enough. You are more than enough, mama.
You. Are. Amazing.”

  • Very true!!

  • I think we all know this feeling

  • I can remember feeling this way, my husband travelled a lot when our son was born. My family lived miles away, thank goodness for our wonderful neighbours who kept an eye on me and invited me over for dinner.
But the times sitting in the car eating junk food to make yourself feel better. Never feel alone we have all been there, sometimes more than we wish to admit. So I send you a big hug and wish that things look bright for you.

    • I’m glad that even though you didn’t have a family to support you you had neighbors who were there for you.

  • How very true and it serves as a great reminder that we are doing the best we can. Thank you for the wise words.

  • You are a mum. You are amazing. And you can cope – with anything and everything because you are strong and you are a woman. Just keep on remembering how great you are.

  • Amazing, beautiful & what most of us need to hear because its reality. Definitely what we all should be saying to each other, often!
    You are amazing!

  • I can relate to this. Trouble is they find you in the bathroom if they are crawling or walking. It is so distressing when your baby is crying and you can’t work out why. My Mum had issues with me like that. Apparently she sometimes gave me another part feed and then I would finally go to sleep. I had stayed awake for too long and was starting to get hungry and thirsty again.

  • Well done ….so true.

    Much love to all moms.

  • How beautiful, inspiring and encouraging! I went through a struggle with my first baby when I was all alone in the house with her and she wouldn’t stop crying and I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong. Motherhood can be such a struggle.

  • This is so beautifully put and I think we can all relate to this in one way or another. It made my eyes water to see it put down on paper (so to speak). It really made my day because I felt it was aimed at me like I’m sure many others did also

  • I think we all can relate to this one !
Reading this absolutely urges me to look around and reach out to those who struggle to cope.

  • Beautiful and so true. I think as mums we all need to be reminded how great we are and how hard we all work for for our families.

  • I needed to see this today. Made me feel so much better after having a rough week

  • we all need to see this at some point, it is us all

  • Love this,I completely understand this and makes me feel a lot better after reading it!!!
