A young boy waiting for a school bus has died after being hit by a car in South Australia’s Mid North.

The year two student from Horizon Christian School was waiting for the bus with other children when he was struck by a car.

Connor, 7, sadly died at the scene.

A local who witnessed the accident in his rear vision mirror said it was tragic. “A tragic loss to the family.”

7 News reports the boy was waiting for the bus right outside his own home.

The Principal has said he was a great friend to others.

The school will work with the family, students and staff to help them through this difficult time.

The woman driver is helping police with their investigations.

RIP little Connor.

  • Yet another tragic accident which should never have happened. I am glad none of the other children were physically hurt. I doubt they will want to wait that bus stop again….. If they keep it in that spot.
    There was an accident elsewhere a few years ago. The person who was sitting in the bus shelter was killed. A few minutes earlier school children were there waiting for a bus. That bus shelter was never replaced. The built another one in a different spot, not very close to taht one either.

  • Oh no, thoughts to the family. How tragic to lose a loved one when they’re innocently doing an ordinary every day act. So sad
