Sadly a man has died in a fatal crash in Sydney that also injured six school children.

Witnesses said the children were left bleeding from their heads after the crash in Londonderry on Friday morning.

Emergency services were called to The Driftway at 8am to reports that a bus, carrying students, and a car had collided, reports Daily Mail.

The male driver of the car died at the scene.

Five students were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for minor injuries, with three of them taken to Nepean Hospital.

A witness said several of the children were bleeding from their heads, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.

The driver of the bus was not injured but was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Police are urging anyone with information relating to this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000

  • Such a tragic accident. Notice there is basically no information re the cause of it.
    Another one where a driver was too impatient and tried to pass the bus at the wrong time / place ?? I have witnessed too many near accidents because of that sort of behaviour. I have seen incidents where cars have passed and practically taken the front bumper off the bus – still don’t know how the bus missed the car – I have also been a passenger in a truck and had that happen. No other close traffic coming but car driver wouldn ‘t wait 5-10 seconds. Truck driver didn’t even have time to put the clutch in, let alone change gear, slammed on the brakes and reckons he missed the car by no more than 4cm. Lucky he hadn’t got up to speed limit or he would have hit the car for sure. I hope the injured make a speedy recovery and counselling is also available.
