Turia Pitt welcomed her baby boy just before Christmas, and now the Australian survivor  has shared a heartfelt message to her son.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, Turia shared a photo of herself breastfeeding her son, Hakavai with the caption:

‘My love for you is illimitable,’ alongside a blue love heart emoji.

She has previously spoke about how she struggled with breastfeeding at first. Sharing with fans on Instagram, she posted a tongue-in-cheek photo of herself in a low cut top. Alongside the snap she wrote that there were ‘a couple of major perks to breastfeeding’.

Adding, ‘I actually found breastfeeding really hard at the beginning,’ Turia wrote.

‘But then I realised it was the first time I’d ever breastfed and it was Hakavai’s first time too and the first time you try anything new you’re not going to be an expert at it!

‘We’re not experts (yet) but we’re definitely getting the hang of it,’ she concluded.

  • Such s brave And inspirational lady

  • Thanks for the update on this inspirational lady.
It is so hard to have a baby under normal circumstances but this lady would really have had a hard time with it all.
So lovely to hear she is breast feeding and it appears from the photos that she is really enjoying her time with her lovely little man.

  • Turia Pitt is most certainly an inspirational human being. I’m sure she’ll be a great mum, her boy is very lucky

  • It is a wonderful achievement which I’m sure she will never regret.
It’s good she is relaxed enough to talk about her feelings and let others know she is no different to what other Mums are.

  • Great attitude Turia !

  • some beautiful photos there, such a sweet hearted family

  • Such positive messages for women every where. Yes breastfeeding can be hard, that’s normal, but we see all these glossy tv commercials making things look easy and perfect and we get discouraged. Good to have famous names telling the truth.

  • A lovely update on Turia and her baby boy.

  • Breastfeeding is definitely a skill that needs to be learned. She sounds like she’s doing really well and loving being a mother.

  • I’m so glad for her. Becoming a mum is such a wonderful thing!! :-)
