Babies rarely arrive at the perfect time but these twins sure did pick their timing badly, deciding to arrive during Hurricane Matthew in Florida this week.

During a routine check up at the hospital, parents Anthony and Jessica Polster were suprised to find out that Jessica was in early labour at 35 weeks.

Dad to be Anthony had to go home and prep the house for the hurricane before rushing back to be with his wife for a c-section.

The twins, Joseph and Harper are both doing well despite their early and dramatic timing to enter the world.

  • A nice story during a difficult time.

  • Gosh, as if having twins wasn’t stressful enough! A good story for their 18th and 21st birthdays though.

  • This must have been such a stressful time. What a great outcome. My son was induced early, so I was happy for him to arrive whenever it was safe.

  • How scary for the family

  • All’s well that ends well – but I would have thought one of the boys would have been called Matthew

  • Wow, they definitely came early. However a few hours later it may not have been safe to transfer them to another hospital because of deteriorating road conditions. They are all doing Ok, that’s the most important thing. At the same time as preparing the house he would have collected the cases to take to the hospital.

  • That would’ve been so scarey but so totally exciting at the same time. Two gorgeous little babies they are too

  • Oh! What a special moment to be born. I’m glad they are all fine. Welcome to the world, beautiful twins! :-)

  • Wow so glad all went well, relatively speaking

  • Congratulations to the parents, wonderful news!

  • Gorgeous baby’s ! Congrats to the parents.

  • There so cute. Big congrats to their family.

  • So glad to hear all went well despite the unfortunate timing. Welcome to the world Joseph and Harper!

  • Poor thing going into labour at such a scary time. But twins usually come earlier, don’t they?
