I was hoping the correct way to approach a dog, to let it smell your hand and pat it under its chin first so it can see your hand and get used to it before patting its head where it cannot see your hand and can become defensive.
We were taught this at Dog Obedience School.

wonderful reaction – pets are so much fun. But they do get old and sick and that is the hardest part on families – when they have to say goodbye 🙁

That’s gorgeous. We have dogs. Its me that nags,my husband for more pets ????

We have three chooks and a rabbit. My children love the idea of pets but sadly they aren’t always prepared to help clean up after them or to feed them in the afternoons.
