Young boy allegedly fat-shamed by Santa while getting his Christmas picture done.

The nine year old boy from North Carolina, claims Santa fat-shamed him while getting his Christmas picture done. (See video below)

Anthony Mayse had told Santa he wanted a drone and an iPod Touch for Christmas but it’s what Santa said next that really upset the little guy.

“When he got done, he said, ‘Lay off the hamburgers and french fries’. And that really just disrespected me, and I felt awful,” he told WLOS-TV.

“I went out and started crying, because I just felt so bad.”

Anthony’s mum, Ashley claims the man posing as Santa didn’t even seem too jolly about the gig.

“He acted like he didn’t want to be there to do the job,” Ashley added. “I’ve never seen anything like it … I was just mind-blown. I wished a million times that we never went.”

“I’m hoping he’s fired, because I don’t want any kid feeling like he [Anthony] did Saturday,”

Have you ever met a rude Santa?

  • This Santa doesn’t have the right spirit and spoiled probably the Xmas of this boy.
    Shame on him !!
I try to teach my kids to make never negative comments about ones appearance or judge them by it. I would certainly expect this from an adult !!

  • A rude act and not festive or full of christmas spirit.

  • I hope the incident was reported to store management, even if it was done by witnesses not the parents (that way the child wasn’t distressed more).
I hope the Santa was sacked by whoever employed and other companies were notified so they don’t employ him in the future.

  • As a uni student, I walked through a department store with similarly aged friends. We waved at Santa as we went past, and called out a cheerful “Hello.”

    Santa responded with “F*** off!”

  • My husband has been a professional Santa for 6yrs its all he ever wanted to to and was born to do it. He is getting a reputation for being the best Santa around and he has been mortified by stories like this. Many Santas these days arent interested in what they are doing which is sad. He listens to each child and would never fat shame or anything like that as he considers he is there to keep the magic of Christmas alive. If kids as for help or guidance he tries to point them in the right direction or people to help. Nothing better than watching the kids faces when they interact with him just wish there were more Santas like him. Feel for the poor little boy having an experience like that with Santa.

  • This is disgusting, the santa is at his workplace. No matter what his personal opinion is, he can not voice that at his job. Let alone to a child. My mother always said “if you have nothing nice to say then say nothing at all”
