A fun and simple way to display quotes, shopping lists, chores, or calendar information around the house on a reusable chalkboard that does not need chalk and produce dust.

Material

  • Black cardstock or paper
  • 1 Laminating machine
  • Laminating pouches
  • White chalkboard pen

Method

  1. Cut out your desired chalkboard shapes out of the black card. Mine are different shaped speech bubbles that were sold precut for $3 in the party section at the Reject shop.
  2. Laminate each shape and trim away the excess laminate paper after it has cooled.
  3. Bluetac the chalkboards where you want them to be. You could also use some flat marketing magnets (like the ones from local real estates) to glue to the back so your boards are magnectic and can stick to your fridge.

Now get creative with your messages or quotes. Wipe clean with a cloth or paper towel each time you want to update them. You could use these boards as a days of the week calendar or a chore chart get creative with how you use them.

Notes

You can pick up a laminating machine from as little as 20 dollars from Officeworks shops or places like Big W or Kmart. Once you buy one you will find a million uses for it.
