If you are a busy mum, there’s probably precious little time for a daily makeup routine.

You want to look and feel your best using your best beauty makeup products. The downside is, this transformation needs to be accomplished in virtually minutes flat.

Have no fear, because the best tried and true beauty tips and secrets are here. For a radiant new you, keep these five essential beauty tips in mind:

1. Rid yourself of tired, droopy eyes

Busy mums never seem to get enough rest. Unfortunately, the area around your eyes may reflect that lack of sleep.

While eye makeup can make you look attractive and glamorous, it won’t do much good if your have dark circles under your eyes.

As most beauty experts concur, a concealer is a busy mum’s best friend.

Using the right concealer will give you a fresh and revitalised look, especially on a morning when you’re feeling tired and worn out. When you have an alert and refreshed appearance, may find that you don’t need a lot of eye make up at all, and this can save you time as well.

To be sure you purchase the right shade of concealer to match your skin tone, ask for a demonstration at the beauty counter of your local department store.

2. Add colour to those cheeks

If your skin looks dull and pale from your hectic lifestyle, a cream blusher to the cheeks may give you a healthy glow.

This is great for busy mums who haven’t got time to bask in the sun most days. Again, it’s imperative to use the right colour for your skin tone.

Go for the natural look, and avoid a blush that makes you look clownish or as if you’ve fried in the sun.

3. Don’t forget your brows

Your eyebrows should play an important role in your makeup routine, but who has time for plucking and tweezing.

When time is of the essence, grab an eyebrow pencil and even out the sparsity. Choose a pencil shade that closely matches your natural hair colour.

4. Your second skin: mineral makeup

You may have heard the beauty experts touting the benefits of mineral cosmetics. If you want a natural look without all the fuss and bother, mineral makeup may be the way to go.

You may find that you won’t need to touch up your foundation throughout the day. Why is this? Simply because mineral makeup seems to wear better than traditional powders and creams. This is especially important as you scurry about on those hot and humid days, when perspiration tends to make your makeup look caked. Because mineral cosmetics do not have chemicals, your skin will have a healthier glow.

This is good news for busy mums with sensitive skin. No chemicals means little to no skin irritation.

And who has time for dealing with irritated skin?

5. The all-in-one makeup trick

Some of the best beauty tips and secrets are the simplest. When you’re living a busy grab-and-go lifestyle, why not minimise the clutter and use one makeup tool that does it all?

You want the advantage of a blusher, lip gloss and eye makeup, don’t you? The all-over cover stick was made with busy mums like you in mind. This cream-based cosmetic can be applied to your cheeks, eyelids and lips, for an all-in-one glow in just seconds.

Hopefully these makeup tips have helped to make your makeup routine a little simpler in the mornings.
