After a super popular “Little Shop 2″ campaign, Coles is going more “glassy” with their next collection.

Most supermarket collections seem to be geared to the kids. But Coles’ latest one is specially for the grown-ups.

Loyal customers can claim free upmarket Spiegelau wine glasses, when they shop it up at Coles.

How To Earn Your Free Wine Glasses

Shoppers can earn one ‘glassware credit’ for every $20 spent at Coles stores, First Choice or Liqourland starting from 30 October 2019.

To earn credits, customers just need to remember to scan their flybuys card at the checkout.

Once 25 credits have been accumulated, shoppers can then redeem these for a box of two Spiegelau glasses.

This means that customers would need to spend $500 on their shopping before getting their hands on the premium collectables.

However, if you check the Riedel website, you can grab a box of four Spiegelau for around $60. But I guess, you could argue, that you would probably spend the $500 anyway and now you’re getting a bonus wine glass or two with your purchase.

The Spiegelau glassware range is made by Riedel and is well known for manufacturing some of the best wineglasses in the world.

Coles chief  executive Steven Cain told The Australian Financial Review: “We believe it’s going to be very popular with customers, like all the other collectables schemes ranging from plastic storage containers to Stikees to Little Shop.”

More On Mouths Of Mums

  • The condition to get points is hard and it will take q longer time to get the points.

  • I don’t need wine glasses and if I did it would take forever to get them.

  • This is going to take forever to just get any of them

  • I’d rather glass containers

  • I don’t consider it ‘free’ when you have to spend.

  • Better than more useless plastic, but they could have made them a tad more accessible.

  • Oh my goodness, finally a promotion i actually want and need!

  • Good idea to reward the customers.

  • So awesome! I love all my free containers from the last lot. I don’t spend any different – whatever I get, I get.

  • I’ll take them… something for nothing! I certainly never look at what I’m spending for what I’m getting. I spend at Coles anyway so it’s nice to be rewarded for being a loyal customer.

  • Something for nothing is always good in my book

  • Something different but doesn’t make me want to drive half an hour to shop at the closiest Coles

    • Aw wow, half a hour is quite a distance indeed ! Do you live rural ?

  • It wouldn’t make me spend more at Coles. If I get them I get them.. if I don’t, no loss there.

  • The supermarkets did this in the 80’s and if it wasn’t for those promos we wouldn’t have had any glasses that weren’t recycled jars. Can’t see a need for it these days thanks to K-Mart

  • Would be a bonus for me, it would take me o let two weeks to spend that amount for the premiums
