Yes, they have discussed it and decided to remove themselves from being senior members of royalty.  THUS not attending all those public appearances that they are expected to attend.

I am a HUGE fan of Meghan.  I applaud this decision of theirs.  She has been under so much scrutiny.  Headlines on her HAND GESTURES.  The FUED BETWEEN HER and KATE.  Her race.  The list goes on.

Damned if they do ; damned if they don’t.

Harry has done the right thing by his wife.  Deciding to quit.

Why should a society feel entitled to put down an individual?

“We paid for that wedding!  Us tax-paying, pea-chewing, pint-swigging, non-judging, upstanding folk.”

“We pay!”

Who cares.  Harry was born into it.  He married.  So what!  The simple fact is so many have been mean to Meghan, for no good reason.  For the simple fact that she’s married a royal man.  If the emotional, mental outpouring of malice and negativity on her could be seen, in a physical baring on her,  she’d be torn to shreds.  Flesh intermixed with that slightly-loose-fitting-gorgeous-wedding dress in patches of clawed-off dress.

You know what.  It’s back to a white royal family at forefront of England’s, well, frontline.  How sad for them!

How sad for us all!  I mean, Prince Andrew with sound accusations against him, the non-SWEATING Prince Andrew.

Yes. It’s allegations but seriously.  I’m almost not a royal fan anymore.  Underaged sex offending and so much status he doesn’t sweat!! (pardon my humour). Are you kidding me?

The delusional, entitled, powerful royal family had a chance to move into a new, modern decade. Part African-American talented beauty enters the palace.  New blood, new connections and she’s…..let’s speak in simple terms here…….been chased out.  So many journalists have written negative articles on her. Why?

What is the fury at a new duchess?

Quite frankly I think the couple has made a great move.  And there’s no rule to say they’re not allowed to concentrate on family.

Yes, there are the bills the TAXPAYER pays for, but that doesn’t give the public the right to own their souls.  It’s gone too far.  It’s good old-fashioned bullying.  Repeated, unwanted, continual, negative.  Bullying.

I wish them well.

I hope they move out of England and fulfill their souls with what’s dear to their hearts.  Bringing up that lovely young child, and then I’m sure another.  Go to Africa, build sanctuaries.  In their gumboots and khaki.    Live in America and feed the homeless with more soup kitchens in L.A.  Yes!  That’s their style!!

It’s the royal family’s public appearance loss, majorly.  And whether the taxpayer still pays for Harry and Meghan’s dinner in high-places  isn’t going to change what the taxpayer eats for dinner, himself.  It makes no difference. The same happens with all the other royals’ lifestyles.

The public needs to stop being so bitter and carrying on.  This royal couple isn’t lighting fires, nor setting off missiles, or having people assassinated.

Somewhere along the lines, the seething comments and responses towards them are not in tune with anything the couple has done.  What have they done wrong?

I don’t blame them, making this move, at all.  To take themselves out of the media spotlight.

YEAH, RIGHT!! No spotlight pfffft.

  • The more that’s emerged around this, the more I think they’re doing the right thing.

  • Totally agree. Great to see Harry becoming his own man, quick to defend his wife and protects their life together with their son. Good on them! So many unnecessary hateful comments from the media and the public.

  • To extend on the article…It’s the sheer level of “hate” towards her. Reading their own Instagram page that non-fans go onto to write. It’s very peculiar how hateful and full of malice comments are. All their photos, her manner, it’s positive. So it doesn’t match. One doesn’t have to like her but to comment such nastiness I believe is more about society’s habit to tear down someone down to feed ones own appetite for problems in own life. Here’s this beautiful American lady who had success and liked the cameras as she’s an actor so people have torn her to shreds. Which you’d see on her pages.
All the royals get funded so singling them out is strange. I see it as a wave in the ocean. The aftermath of a big event is like a peak in the media wave. Lots of attention and opinion. But with this the wave hasn’t come in to shore and calmed. It’s stayed for the backlash at this height of crappy negativity. I do follow her and her fan page so I scroll and it’s rampant bitchyness. A lot of unhappy people out there …. at themselves more likely.

  • I think Harry can see what happened to his Mum, happening again to the love of his life. I’m sure he’ll step up if he needs to. Pity Charles hadn’t done this to protect Diana. I’m all for Harry and Meghan taking a step back. They are a young couple in love so let them be. I wish them all the best

  • I think after what Harry went through losing his mum – ultimately to the paparazzi he was going to do everything in his power to make sure that doesn’t happen to his wife and child. I think they went about it in a really bad way. They could have told the family first and slowly backed away and out of the spotlight over the past few months.

  • I simply think they should have discussed it with the Queen first. I’ve no doubt she would have come to some compromise with them and let them go. However, I think it was wrong and disrespectful to announce it on Instagram first. They’ve clearly been blindsided. It will all work out, and I do love Harry & Meaghan, but there’s still protocols surrounding the life they lead.

  • I feel that they should be able to live their lives the way they want to, and spend time together

  • Well, the Queen gave her blessings to Meghan and Harry, even if she said she would have preferred them to remain full-time Royals. They will have to settle all the financial part now.

  • I don’t know. Firstly I never knew there was so much negativity about her. But as for the decision they made I’m not sure, not my place to judge but I’m 50/50 because she knew what she was getting into marrying into the royal family and there are rules and traditions to be upheld from a historical point of view but on the other hand, Harry will not be air to the throne and it is their life and we don’t really know the ins and outs only they do themselves.

  • I wasn’t aware that so much negative opinions were going around about her. And to be honest I’m not curious about such gossips. I can understand they don’t want to live in the spotlights.

  • You’ll never know the real story behind it all so I’d rather not get caught up in what the media portray

  • It does not matter if the public agrees or disagrees with their decision.
No one apart from them and their inner circle has full knowledge of their situation.
Snippets of media coverage and select articles hardly qualify anyone for knowing what goes on inside any marriage or family.

  • I agree. It’s their life and theirs to live, not ours

  • I tend to agree it’s a good decision; but if they give up their responsibilities, then yes, they need to also give up privileges like all the stuff the taxpayer covers for them.

  • Well said
