  • Perfect for entertaining

    I love our pasta maker and so do the family and the extended family. I have to say that it has made entertaining a breeze as everyone can socialise and chat while the pasta is being made for lunch and dinner. Entertaining is actually pretty cheap too and definitely cheaper than an Italian restaurant.

  • Why I gave 5 STARS!!!

    I would hands down recommend the Philips Pasta and Noodle Maker to others!!! So I really enjoy fresh pasta but with 3 little munchkins in toe now I don’t really have the time to make it.. the old fashion way. A few of my friends have “other” pasta making machines and I have asked them to show me how there’s work. Of course I had to have a taste test as well. HANDS DOWN the Philips machine is quicker, easier to operate and the taste of the pasta far out accomplishes the “others”. I have even convinced one of my friends to get rid of their machine and buy the Philips brand!

    The Philips Pasta & Noodle Maker is quicker than expected to use.. oh yes it is! So I did a time test..
    – 2 minutes to get out machine, all ingredients, plug in and place ingredients into the machine
    – 15 minutes for all pasta to be made, cut and drying on a pasta rack
    – 12 minutes to wash and set to air dry
    – I min and 30 sec to pack up and put away (after drying but who stands there and watches it dry right… )
    TOTAL – 30.5 minutes
    Those of you who have ever made fresh pasta know that you would barely be done needing the dough let alone be cleaned up and packed away!

    The Philips Pasta & Noodle Maker is suitable for lots of recipes.. Of course, I was even able to cater for family members with food allergies.. when I told them we were having fresh pasta they gave me the look of “Ok and what am I getting to eat”. The response from family was “Where did you buy it and exactly what is in it”. I was able to show them the recipe, and even prepared it right in front of them. What can I say it was a dinner the whole family was involved in!

    The Philips Pasta & Noodle Maker brings back the joy of cooking at a whole new level!!! All the family is involved and for our 10 year wedding anniversary my darling husband even pulled out machine and made dinner with the kids all by themselves.
    I love the fact the whole family is involved and we are improving our quality of eating by being able to hide lots of veggies from the kids and even making some fabulous pasta salads to have as a side dish.

    I honestly swear by the Philips Pasta and Noodle maker, I was so sceptical that it was going to be hard, too time consuming and really just a pain to have in our kitchen. It has become one of the family bringing us all together at meal time, thank you from a very happy mummy and her family!

  • Making life easy

    Well it has happened…. I managed to make a least 2 pasta dishes a week using my Phillips Pasta and Noodle maker.

    It is so easy and so much fun for the kids to get involved. The kids take turns in measuring everything out and Master 5 has even mastered cracking eggs! Now if little Miss 2 and Master 1 could crack eggs without getting shells into it, I would be onto a real winner!

    This miracle maker machine not only churns out pasta at lightening speed but is easy to clean up afterwards. Just as an added bonus it all packs away compactly and conveniently…

    I am very happy to say that I finally after many years look forward to getting in the kitchen with new little friend the Phillips Pasta and Noodle maker!

  • To feed a small army!

    We had a surprise visit at our house last night from another family – that meant 11 mouths to feed! While I would normally be uninspired, and horrified by this situation, I had a lightbulb moment, and decided to make fresh pasta for all of us. A quick sauce using passata, garlic and fresh basil from the garden, and we had a wonderful evening. Thanks Phillips and MoM for the opportunity to give this fantastic pasta maker a ‘whirl’!

  • MIGHTY MEATBALLS AND PASTA MADE IN THE PHILIPS PASTA AND NOODLE MAKER

    I was needing a quick mid week recipe for my boys. Having the Philips Pasta and Noodle Maker on hand the problem was solved. As I got onto making the tomato sauce and meatballs, my 2 sons aged 8 and 10 got onto making the pasta. The machine is so easy to use, they love it.
    The beauty of this pasta is that all components can be frozen. Extra meat balls and tomato sauce and be frozen for another meal.
    I did find the pasta a little firm to the bite, so I recommend cooking it a little longer.

  • Philips Pasta Maker makes an awesome lasagne!!!

    Tonight I decided to use my Philips Pasta Maker to make a Béchamel Lasagne. I used the wide disc to make the sheets. From previous experience, after the pasta was made, I precooked the sheets for about 10 minutes in boiling water before putting the lasagna together and cooking it in the oven.
    Pasta from the Philips machine I have found to be a little firm to eat. I have made cannelloni before and the family commented that the pasta was a bit thick and firm after cooking. Today I found that by pre boiling the sheets of pasta the lasagna turned out fantastic. I will definitely do this again in the future.

  • quick and easy

    Whole dish made in less than 1/2 hour, from making pasta to serving it for dinner. Easy to clean and I use a kebab stick to clean out the little bits of pasta.

  • All Sorts of Pasta!!

    I was so surprised when I open this machine to find not only does it do penne style and spaghetti/noodles but it also does sheets of pasta. So I used an old favourite recipe of ravioli and replace the usual wonton sheets with this freshly made pasta. The extrusion process meant that I could cut the sheets to the exact size I wanted as they came out and I could start filled them straight away.
    They were so fresh and tasty and we can’t wait to make more and try the sheets for lasagne.

  • That really exciting moment... when the pasta starts being extruded!!!

    Tonight was a quick, basic pasta night. We made a basic durum spaghetti, which is such a quick and easy process. While the pasta was mixing in the chamber, I quickly made a basil pesto. Including cooking time, a completely homemade, packet-free meal was made in about 20 minutes. A winner with hubby, Miss 8, Mr 10, and being so quick and easy – Mummy!!

  • So Easy!

    I was stunned at how easy and fool-proof this machine really was. I was able to take it straight from the box and after a quick look through the instructions, I was able to put it together and within 15 – 20 minutes I was making fresh pasta.
    It’s such an easy way to have fresh pasta dish at any time. I’ve made sauces to freeze and on a busy day when we have arrived home late we can still have a freshly made meal instead of packet made food.
    I would highly recommend this machine to anyone who enjoys fresh pasta. It takes the guess work out of getting it right and it’s an all in one process. The machine is also so easy to clean. A great investment to make for any kitchen.

  • Simple and the little ones love to get involved

    The pasta maker is one of the most simplest machines on the market to use. It does everything for you. Adding the ingredients was fun for my 4yr old to do and she loved watching it work and kneed the dough. Then when it started coming out she got so excited and she found it so easy to cut off into smaller pieces. Of course with my careful watch. The pasta tasted great and she loved the fact that she made it all by herself. One happy mummy and daughter here.

  • Loving the flavours

    In the fourth week of trailing the pasta maker I made a creamy mushroom bacon and chicken pasta bake. It was so Devine and the whole family enjoyed it. I took some to work and shared with two colleagues. They loved it and one if them has gone out and purchased the maker. I love adding beatroot to the pasta and my kids love the colour and taste of it.

  • Recommended to friends who have already bought it.

    I posted some photos on Facebook saying how great the machine is and have had two friends already gone out and bought it. They have used it and also fallen in love with it. One said she made spaghetti bal with veggies and her little 9 mth old loved the flavour of the spaghetti. It made a huge mess but the while thing was eaten. I used the fresh lasagne sheets to make a veggie lasagne. Everyone loved it.

  • So quick and easy to use

    The second time I used the pasta maker my little girl helped me by cutting it as it was coming out and it was so easy for her. She loved watching it come out and was proud of herself. We made chicken carbonara. The pasta tasted so yum and we made it whole meal which is even more healthier. Loved the variation.

  • Motivating Machine.

    Having the Philips Pasta and Noodle Maker has motivated my young boys to want to get in the kitchen and help with the cooking. We have tried many of the amazing recipes posted here on Mouths of Mums and they have really enjoyed cooking fresh pasta. They love putting the ingredients into the machine and because this produces perfect pasta every time there is never a disaster!

  • Just Awesome

    – I’m sure I have already posed this review for this recipe we made, however I can’t find it – so here is another review and an update – just in case! (lucky I saved them all to my computer!!) I would hate to have to send my awesome machine back!!
    “28th April 2015 – Spinach Lasagna
    Just wow! This is my 4th review and I still love love love this machine!! So far we have cooked Chicken Ravioli, good old Spaghetti, Veal Scalopponi Fettuccine, Singapore Noodles with curried noodles Tuna casserole with Penne and now Spinach flavoured Lasagna sheets!This machine is so great! Tonight we made lasagna with spinach pasta sheets. It was so awesome pouring the spinach juice into the machine and watching it turn green and then it started coming out in sheets! My 2 yr old and 4 yr old thought it was the best thing since the Octonauts hit their TV screen! It was so easy to slice the sheets to the length needed and then layer them up. BONUS it took way less time in the oven to be perfect than with dried lasagne sheets – no crunchy uncooked bits on the bottom!!
    This machine is truly great and we are having such a great time using it. It is so quick and easy – I can’t see us going back to store bought dried pasta!! Thanks again Philips and Mouths of Mums for letting me trial this machine for you! I hope you have enjoyed the recipes I have put up and I can’t wait to try some of the other mum’s recipes in the near future! I have to say, my favourite so far has been the curried noodles when I made Singapore noodles!!”

  • Use my Philips Pasta and Noodle Maker every week

    I still love my Philips Pasta and Noodle Maker and use it several times each week. I haven’t bought pasta since I received the machine and I just can’t see a reason to in the future (unless of course I was away and didn’t have the machine). I’m still experimenting with different flavors and will post a few recipes soon. My 14 month old daughter loves sitting on the bench watching the machine. She tries to ‘catch’ the pasta as it comes out! She always runs into the kitchen as soon as she hears it going. Meanwhile my 4 year old always wants to help so I never actually get to use it!

    we went to my friends plave and they cooked pasta for us. it was so so nice and i ask them were they got the pasta from and they told me that they made it them selfs and i was like what how
    then they told me into the kitech and show me the Philips Pasta & Noodle Maker it was great so the next day we brough one just love it

  • Fills hungry bellies quickly

    I’ve had the Philips Pasta and Noodle Maker a while now thanks to Mouths of Mums.

    What do I like about it:
    1. Quick fresh pasta. In fact only 15 minutes to make 4 generous entree six serves.
    2. Fresh pasta means it’s quick to cook.
    3. There are options for all shapes of pastas.
    4. I can use whatever ingredients I want, so gluten free is a cheap and easy option.

    What don’t I like:
    1. I don’t get the silky sheen I get with hand rolled pasta.

    Overall, for my family it is the perfect appliance. For a posh dinner party I’ll still make by hand. Perhaps the unit could have an option for longer kneading as that would assist with the sheen.

  • Time to get creative

    So if you read my first review, I was some what worried about having to learn yet another cooking appliance as a mum of 3 I try to make the most of everyday, every minute and every second! My first ever fresh pasta dish from my Phillips Pasta and Noodle Maker had me hooked and there was no going back!

    I am so very happy to report that I did source out many recipes (some still on the to do list) but I was able to get creative and hide some of those dreaded vegetables from the kiddies!!! Even with doing new recipes and fresh pasta I’m still saving time compared to making my pasta from scratch!

    I did my Grandmothers lasagne recipe but with SPINACH PASTA SHEETS. Oh my oh my it was delicious and the kids just went to town. They they thought the green pasts was “So much yummer than white pasta” haha There you have it folks from the mouths of babes!

    I have posted the recipe up on here under the recipe section “Mimi’s Lasagne with a green twist”. I hope you take the time and try it and please let me know your thoughts! I hope your family enjoys it as much as mine.

    At the end of the day, there hasn’t been a week that has gone by without my family enjoying a fresh pasta dish. Its still a novelty and even though I am trying to do a new dish (with all the extra time I save making my pasta) each week, the kiddies are making requests EVEN for the healthy veggie packed meals!

    Thank you Philips for your amazing machine, its simple, easy to use, easy to clean, stores away without taking up too much room and this machine alone has brought me back into the kitchen experimenting and enjoying what I can put on the table for my family.

    I highly recommend one for your kitchen as it ticks all the boxes. Worth every penny and as I said I use it weekly and haven’t used stored bought pasta since its arrival!

  • Fresh, Easy and Amazingly delicious

    When I received my machine I was thinking… well here go, another machine and item to learn all whilst juggling 3 kids… But who doesn’t love fresh pasta Right!!!

    What can I say, I unpacked it all and started to read the manual. It was easy, it all packed away nicely and compact and from what I could tell it was relatively easy to do. I went to bed thinking tomorrow I will give it a go but surely it can’t be this easy. Afterall I had made fresh pasta from scratch and it was such a long drawn out process, worth it but with three little kids it was a “once every couple of months” treat. I set out with the goal to make a least one FRESH pasta dish a week.

    The next morning I got out my machine, and started off with a quick easy spaghetti, the family favourite. I had one more quick read of the steps and got out my ingredients. That wasn’t so hard, before I knew it the ingredients were mixing and within minutes I had FRESH pasta coming at me!

    There it was, the smell of fresh pasta, all under 20 minutes!!! I had mixed my ingredients, It was producing fresh pasts, I cut the pasta to size and set aside to dry out. BAM it was done already for dinner later that night. I washed up, set aside to dry and was off to my normal daily routine.

    Dinner rolled around before I knew it and there were 3 hungry little children all with little mouths open like little birds waiting to be fed. However as you would know, the sound these three little birds made wasn’t as pleasant as a baby bird, but hey you can’t have everything right, after all I had fresh pasta about to hit the table!

    Whist the bolognese was simmering away I put on some water to boil. Before I could say “presto” pasta was cooked, bolognese sauce was added and dinner was on the table.
    It was by far the best tasting FRESH pasta I have ever made all without the hours of hard yakka and flour in every square inch of the kitchen.

    I was hooked, line and sinker…. It was from this moment, the first time using my Philips Pasta and Noodle Maker I went on to source out more pasta recipes for my family.

  • Coloured Noodles

    Last night we had a noodle making competition in our house using the Philips Noodle and Pasta Maker. The competition was to make the most interesting and tasty noodles. We ended up with some wonderful coloured noodles and they were tasty and good to eat. This machine has given us so much fun-we really do love it!

    We love our Philips Pasta Maker and the whole family enjoys using it to make delicious pasta and noodles. It is such an easy machine to use and to clean and store. We have also saved a lot of money by making our own pasta and noodles. We now eat a lot of pasta and noodles. Our favourite thing is making noodles and eating them regularly for lunch. We also have fun making our own sauces to go with the pasta and noodles. The noodles are great with our soy beef and vegetable stir fry. I would recommend this machine to everyone!

    I just wanted to say a big thank you to Philips and the MoM team for sending me some additional discs for my Philips Pasta and Noodle Maker! I was very excited to receive these today and can’t wait to put them to use and come up with some delicious recipes! The new discs will make angel hair, flat wide noodles, udon and ramen noodles. I’ve had a lot of fun being part of this review, thanks again!
