Special news for Michael and Kyly Clarke!

As Michael Clarke prepares for the first Ashes Test, he and wife Kyly have announced some very lovely news.

Taking to Instagram overnight, Michael shared his excitement, posting:

“@kylyclarke and I are extremely ecstatic to announce that we are expecting our first child.”

Michael and Kyly have been married for 3 years, after tying the knot in a Blue Mountains ceremony in May 2012. The pair knew each other as teenagers, but only started dating in 2010.

Back in February Michael spoke about the couple’s love of children and that “If my daughter looks like me I’ll be happy, because she won’t have to worry about guys, but my son, I want him to look like my wife.”

Congratulations, that\’s fantastic news. They\’ve had a big few months, so it\’s great for them to have some exciting news. Social media wasn\’t big when I was pregnant so I told people in various ways – in phone, in person, by showing the first ultrasound pic. All exciting, just the same.

For my daughter we just told everyone via a phone call, but for my son we added a photo to Facebook showing our feet and a pair of spare baby shoes. It was suggestive and people figured it out.
