A mother sparked online backlash after she let her child use the potty in the middle of busy pub.
The scene was witnessed by another mother, who later took to the forum, Mumsnet, to ask whether it was ‘normal’ for a child to go to the toilet in full view of other diners, shares Daily Mail.
The post sparked a flurry of responses from disgusted users who branded the behaviour ‘disgusting’, ‘repulsive’ and ‘unhygienic’.
Asking whether she was being unreasonable to be ‘shocked’ by what she saw, the original poster wrote: ‘Last night, having a meal at 7 in a nice pub and a parent got their child to use the potty by their table. This isn’t normal, is it?!’
Other outraged parents responded within minutes, saying it is definitely ‘not normal’.
One wrote: ‘Not acceptable at all, some people are just gross’, while another said simply: ‘Just repulsive’.
A number of mothers asked whether pub employees were made aware of the situation, with one saying: ‘I would have told staff, as its unhygienic.’
Speculating on what the mother did when she saw the potty coming out, one wrote: ‘I think I would have been hard pressed to comment out loud. It’s disgusting.’
Another concerned parent questioned how it impacted the child. She wrote: ‘The poor kid gets no privacy and the other diners get the pleasure of a stinking poo wafting over there meals.’
Last year we shared the story of a mother who changed her baby’s nappy twice at a table in a coffee shop near people eating. People were very outspoken over the incident. READ that article here.
