After a super popular “Little Shop 2” campaign, Coles is going more “glassy” with their next collection.

Most supermarket collections seem to be geared to the kids. But Coles’ latest one is specially for the grown-ups.

Loyal customers can claim free upmarket Spiegelau wine glasses, when they shop it up at Coles.

How To Earn Your Free Wine Glasses

Shoppers can earn one ‘glassware credit’ for every $20 spent at Coles stores, First Choice or Liqourland starting from 30 October 2019.

To earn credits, customers just need to remember to scan their flybuys card at the checkout.

Once 25 credits have been accumulated, shoppers can then redeem these for a box of two Spiegelau glasses.

Pricey

This means that customers would need to spend $500 on their shopping before getting their hands on the premium collectables.

However, if you check the Riedel website, you can grab a box of four Spiegelau for around $60. But I guess, you could argue, that you would probably spend the $500 anyway and now you’re getting a bonus wine glass or two with your purchase.

The Spiegelau glassware range is made by Riedel and is well known for manufacturing some of the best wineglasses in the world.

Coles chief  executive Steven Cain told The Australian Financial Review: “We believe it’s going to be very popular with customers, like all the other collectables schemes ranging from plastic storage containers to Stikees to Little Shop.”

More On Mouths Of Mums

  • The $20 spend is what makes me happiest! I’ll get a few glasses during the promotion. I would like to see those vacuum containers back again at some point though

  • If I earn enough points to collect some of these, I would be very happy. They could replace some of my not so good glasses.

  • If you shop there already then this is worth doing. If not then it probably isn’t worth the while

  • I already shop at Coles so for me it’s just another bonus. I won’t be going out of my way to earn them but can earn them through normal shopping behaviours.

  • I mean if their free that’s good but I dont shop at Cole’s anyway

  • to overpriced for me. Having to spend $30.00 to get enough points to buy overpriced glasses

  • Look i am happy with a cheap box of wine glasses from kmart.

  • I shop at Coles, but I won’t be in a hurry to get extra credits as I’m not a big wine drinker

  • Will not get them here in Tasmania, we don’t have have liquorland or first choice….that’s a bit unfair to us.

  • People will still find something to complain about with this. Just like they have with the woolies plants.

  • I think its a great idea! Especially for people who don’t have the extra monies to buy nice glasses.

  • Not a huge fan but if I collect enough points I’ll grab one…

  • A large family may spend enough to make it worthwhile getting some. We don’t have a fortnight to achieve getting a reasonable number. When they had the plastic container promotion some of the Coles Supermarkets ran out before the promotion was about to finish.

    • We managed to get one container because they ran out of all containers.
The container promotion seems to have been a popular one with shoppers.

  • I may collect if I get enough points.

  • I loved the vacuum sealed containers, I got the full set of them. The Little Shops I fave away. If I get enough credits up, I’ll grab the glasses, it’s not something I’ll stride for however

  • Now THIS is an Incentive! ????

  • If we get enough credits I will get some. I don’t like Coles as much as Woolworths so we probably won’t collect enough.

  • $500 worth of shopping …. I’d rather go and buy my own choice of glasses for a fraction of that ….

    Reply

  • I much preferred the container collection. But I will probably be able to get some of these glasses.

  • Its good idea if you shop at Coles…unfortunately we dont shop there- no glassware for us.
