Hey, it’s okay, it’s okay! You’re welcome! You don’t have to thank us forever….for letting you know that it looks like a Moana sequel is in the works.
It’s still a BIG secret, but there have been informed leaks from those in-the-know at Disney and the word on the street is that a Moana 2 is soon to be sailing to our shores.
According to wegotthiscovered.com, the studio is reportedly in the process of developing a follow-up to the blockbuster animated movie.
There aren’t many details to go on right now but sources say that Moana round 2 is definitely in the works.
It’s also presumed that the stars of the first film – Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Auli’i Cravalho will be reprising their roles as Moana and Maui.
The story about a Polynesian princess was an instant hit, earning over $643-million at the box office and getting the whole world addicted to the catchy tunes. Who can ever forget the anthem ‘How Far I’ll Go’ which my kids know forwards, backwards and sideways.
In case you missed out on seeing the movie, it’s all about Moana, the daughter of a village chief, and the journey she takes across the sea to break a curse incurred by the demigod Maui. Moana displays immense bravery, confidence and tenacity – values which we would love to instill in our kids.
Moana In Love?
It was a step away from the usual Disney style, in that Moana didn’t actually have a romantic plotline. So we can’t help but wonder whether the sequel will bring us that signature lovey-dovey stuff that Disney does so well.
We’ve already waited four years to see more Moana action…but it sounds like we won’t have to wait much longer.
