  • Exactly what I want in a refill and mop

    Trying this refill mop head leaves me just as impressed as the first time I tried the mop. It was really easy to get, just pick it up from Bunnings (after paying of course!), rip it out of the bag and stick it on your mop.

    Features I love about this refill and mop:

    - it's just like the original and fits perfectly.

    - sticks on as it should and doesn't 'flap about' like some of the flat mops

    - if your pad is clean, use it on your skirtings with the folding side of the mop

    - once done, take it off and stick it in the washing machine

    It's awesome and I'm one very happy mumma!

  • Great mop head!

    The Oates Spin & Clean Microfibre Mop Refill is just fantastic and what’s even more fantastic is the ease of using the refills. So happy to have added more to my collection as after I’ve either dusted my skirting boards which is so easy to do with this as it bends to edges or after I’ve mopped my tiles I simply pull off the Microfibre mop by pulling away from myself, throw it into the wash and pop the next one on ready to go. It couldn’t be easier!

  • Machine washable

    The mop pad is super soft and absorbent. I use it to mop my floors once a week and then throw it in the washing machine and dryer. It comes out clean and brand new looking. It can leave water marks on your tiles if you don't spin it enough so just make sure you do spin it thoroughly and it'll be streak free. It easily gets rid of any spills on my tiles and any grime too.

    I love my Oates Spin Mop. I don't hurt my back or unbalance using a pedal. It flips up on one side for skirting and cornering. It simply goes in the washing machine when dirty. But, the most awesome thing is that it keeps my floorboards dust free. It leaves nothing behind to show in the sun like standard brooms do.

    I love my Oates Mop. It's simple to use. I don't hurt my back or have to balance to try and spin it. It flips up on one side for walls & corners. The most awesome thing is the microfibre pad doesn't need to wet. It keeps my floorboards dust free, leaving nothing behind to show in the sun like a standard broom does. When it's dirty, just throw it in the wash. Way too easy!!

    This mop refill is super easy to use. It's velcro so it's easy to put on and take off to wash. It washes well and dries soft - not stiff. It removes food spillage from my kitchen floors with ease and all I do is go back and forth of that area 3 or 4 times and it's gone.

  • Oates Spin and Clean Microfibre refill

    It's been 1 year since I reviewed Oates Spin & Clean Microfibre Mop and being a new winter season it's time for a change. Oates Spin & Clean Microfibre Refill is an affordable and easy way to change the head and have a fresh mop. The refill is easy to apply and remove, with the base of the mop acting like Velcro, it secures the refill in place. I just put the previous Microfibre mop refill in the washine machine as it's safe to wash and that way I can reuse it at a later date.

    Oates Microfibre Refill can be used wet or dry, and with or without chemicals. It is suitable on a variety of floors, including tiles and floorboards. I highly recommend Oates Spin and Clean Microfibre Refill.

    This mop head makes mopping light work. It gets marks off floors easily with just one to two passes and no scrubbing required. I like that it can then just be thrown in the washing machine and comes out fresh and clean! A great mop head for my mop!

    The Oates Spin & Clean Microfibre Mop refill is great because it can easily washed in the washing machine and cleans the floors using its compact design bucket. The microfiber material cleans hard surfaces well including dirt and hair. The scrubbing roller is a nice feature as it scrapes off hair from the mop as it spins. Comes off easily and can be washed.

  • Great easy mop

    I tried out the Oates Spin & Clean Microfibre Mop Refill.

    Very easy to use ,easy to clean and manoeuvre around the floors, nice and simple to remove and put on the refill microfibre and throw straight in the wash.

    I like how you have an option for wet or dry clean, I basically do a Dettol spray and wipe as everyday clean here and there for those dirt and grime spots,then once a week get right into it with the disinfectant and hot water . Grabs all bits and bobs including my hair which is everywhere. Only thing is I would have preferred a larger microfibre refill so it covers more floor and less time.apart from that it's great

    Oates Spin & Clean Microfibre Mop Refill is an amazing option to change and refresh your mop which was getting old & stinky. It's very easy to fit it back . Definitely a very affordable option. Instead of buying the whole mop set you just change the mop head which is machine washable too. It is very easy to use and makes cleaning easy

    Great mop refill from Oates, that is very easy to replace and leaves my wooden floor squaky clean. The microfibre picks up all dust, sand, soil and hair effortlessly without scratching my delicate floor board, while making it shine. It can be used as a sweeper when dry or a mop when wet. Love the sustainability from having a replaceable mop head and is easy to clean.

    Previously got the Oates Spin & Clean Microfibre Mop and have been very happy with it. Was glad to get the mop refill for it as mine as been worn and used frequently, was due for a change. It was very easy to swap to the refill as I just needed to remove the old one and replace it with the refill.

    I love this mop for cleaning my tile floors as well as hardwood floors. Has an awesome feature for cleaning along architraves etc. mop head washed well in washing machine and does not shrink or anything. Highly recommend buying this mop. Small bucket is easy to store where other buckets are quite cumbersome especially for those with limited storage space

    Mopping is a daily chore and with wooden floorboards, it’s great there is a solution that can be used for both wet and fry requirements. Meantime is very messy with little ones so this is a great product that allows you to quickly clean up without needing to wet it and use harsh chemicals which is a big plus for me! It can also

‘I Grabbed My Car Keys And RAN!’ The New Supermarket Bread Everyone’s Talking About

Mum-of-two Rebecca McCracken has spent the last four years reading ingredient lists on pretty much everything she buys at the supermarket.

Like many parents raising kids with food allergies, a quick trip to the supermarket often means checking labels, comparing products and hoping to find something the whole family can eat.

Bec’s four-year-old son and 17-month-old daughter were both born with cow’s milk protein allergy. While her son has since outgrown his allergies, her toddler still reacts to dairy, making even everyday staples like bread a challenge.

“Unless we buy expensive sourdough for seven or eight dollars, we don’t really have a choice.”

Even then, it’s not ideal.

“A kid doesn’t want to eat a sourdough sandwich,” Bec laughs. “And fairy bread on sourdough is not great.”

A New Loaf On The Block

Bec runs an online community for allergy families, so she spends plenty of time sharing recipes, product finds and supermarket discoveries with other parents.

It was one of those parents who first told her about new JUST bread.

“A follower messaged me and said, ‘Oh my gosh, this bread is coming soon.’ I was like, ‘Where? When? I need to know. I’m getting my car keys and running!'”

Made with baker’s flour, water, yeast, vinegar, oil and salt, JUST bread contains no artificial preservatives, flavours or colours.

For Bec, it sounded almost too good to be true. “When we saw JUST bread, I was like, ‘You’re joking.’ A bread that’s fresh baked but in the bread aisle? That’s unheard of for us.”

“It was really exciting for our family and for the allergy community.”

The Family’s Toughest Critic Approved

Of course, there was one person whose opinion mattered more than anyone else’s.

“My toughest critic is my daughter. She is so fussy. We know something is really good if she approves it, and she approves it. She loves it. She’ll eat it plain, toasted, as French toast … whatever. She loves it.”

Bec says she was impressed too.

“I like it. I like that it’s only got minimal ingredients and doesn’t have the additives and preservatives that are in a lot of other brands.”

A Simpler Option For Everyday Families

Bec tried out JUST bread because of her family’s allergies, but she says it has a broader appeal.

“I think everyone is becoming more conscious of additives and preservatives in their food.”

It’s a feeling many of us can probably relate to. We don’t all want to overhaul the way we eat, but plenty of us are paying a little more attention to ingredient lists and looking for products that keep things simple.

Bread is one of those foods that’s always around. It ends up in lunchboxes, on the breakfast table, alongside soup on a cold night and covered in hundreds and thousands at birthday parties. When we eat something that often, it’s only natural to wonder what’s in it.

JUST bread keeps things simple with a handful of pantry ingredients and no artificial preservatives, flavours or colours. It’s the sort of loaf that fits easily into busy family life without asking us to compromise on taste or convenience.

Little Changes, Big Difference

 

For Bec, finding a loaf of bread her whole family can enjoy is about more than ticking another item off the shopping list.

“It seems like such a little thing to the normal community, but for us this is a massive win.”

Being able to make sandwiches without worrying about ingredients. Packing lunchboxes a little more easily. Bringing back fairy bread for birthdays. Sometimes it’s the little things that make family life feel a whole lot simpler.

And while Bec found JUST bread because she needed another allergy-friendly option, its simple ingredient list is likely to appeal to plenty of other families too. After all, when we can choose everyday foods made with ingredients we recognise, that’s a pretty good place to start.

I have noticed that there are starting to be more ‘cleaner’ products in the supermarket, meaning consumers are being heard. We are going full circle back to how foods use to be produced before companies got greedy and started taking shortcuts to producing food items. I hope we continue seeing more preservative and additive free options that are affordable come back in the supermarkets.

  • Grabbing your car keys and running for a bread ?? I can’t imagine doing so for a bread lol ! It’s nice to see that more and more allergy friendly products are being produced and put on the market.
    I don’t agree with the statement that “A kid doesn’t want to eat a sourdough sandwich”. It depends on what type of bread you introduce to your kids. My kids grew up with 7 seeds, rustic bread and sourdough and they love it. It’s also quite easy and cheap to make sourdough bread yourself.

  • I haven’t seen this bread in the supermarket but will be looking for it now. I have been trying to avoid preservatives and additives for some time now and as highlighted in the article bread it difficult to find, or super expensive, without them so I don’t have it often.

  • This is fantastic, finally a bread that is not full of nasty stuff. I will be going straight out to buy this. My son has ARFID and will only eat white bread, but it’s not terribly healthy. With this bread, at least I know that it is much healthier than the alternatives. Woohoo

  • I cant wait to give this bread a go (so far its always been sold out at my local woolies so it must be good). So good its suitable for those with allergies too. I think nowadays were all looking for cleaner options of ingredients in our foods so this is a step in the right direction.

  • I am glad more and more allergy friendly products are being produced and offered. I don’t agree with Bec’s statement that kids don’t like sourdough bread. My kids were introduced to sourdough and the most rustic and seeded breads from the time they started to eat bread, and they love it

  • Oh I cannot wait to try this bread! We go through that much bread each week and I always feel so guilty with how much my kids have – not anymore! Would love to see them introduce other variants in the future – multigrain and gluten free would be superb!

  • This is such a great product that I’m looking forward to trying! I’ve only been buying bread from bakeries the last few years because grocery store bread texture was so dense and unpleasant. But the hassle with bakery bread is I can’t get it everywhere! I’ll be really keen to give this a go
