  • good brushing experience

    As far as electric toothbrushes go, the Philips Sonicare HealthyWhite is a good brushing experience. I do find moisture inside the handle area. I'm thinking that this will limit the life of the product over time. The handle is not completely tight. I have my old Sonicare which worked for many years but I did clean it most days.

    I read the reviews of Philips Sonicare Healthy White by Mom’s community members and I decided to try it as I love looking after my teeth.     Love my Phillips Sonic Care "Healthy White" toothbrush ! I will never go back to brushing with a "manual" toothbrush ever again ! My teeth have never looked so white or felt so clean ! Clever design - perfect for a couple (a spot for each brush-head - which can be 'colour-coded" so you know who's brush is who's !) It doesn't take long to charge & holds its charge for quite a while ! I would highly recommend this toothbrush to anyone wanting to buy an electric toothbrush !

    After using this product for approx 6 weeks now.. i can honestly say i am really impressed. All other electric toothbrushes i have used are such a let down now compare to this one. Really really brillant product and once again good work to philips! I will be buying more of these for the rest of my family!

    I can't tell you just how happy I am with the healthywhite toothbrush, my teeth, gums and mouth are so clean and now the coffee and tea stains are no more!! Had a visit at the dentist the other day and he was very impressed with my teeth and commented on how healthy my gums are and how clean my teeth are. Definitely throw away your manual toothbrush and get yourselves one of these, your mouth will love you for it!!!

    Thank you for allowing my partner and I to review the Philips Sonicare. It has been a real eye opener to what my regular toothbrush was lacking. My teeth and gums have never looked so great.     Wow what a difference 4 weeks has made to my teeth and gums. In a nut shell the Philips Sonicare was so easy to use it was so gently on my gums and has taken away some unwanted stains that I have been trying to get rid of for a very long time.   • Week 4 final week

    I've now been using this amazing toothbrush for a month and I'm am so happy with the results! My teeth are so clean and defiantly much whiter. I love that feeling at the end of the day when I brush my teeth before going to bed and they feel just so clean I can't stop tubing my tongue over them. Very Happy with the results and can easily say I'll never go back to brushing manually again!

    Onto week 4 and my teeth are feeling and looking amazing. My gum health has improved and it has removed nearly all plaque from my teeth aswell as whitening them at least 3 shades lighter. I'm so glad to have been able to take part in this review and will continue to recommend this toothbrush.

  • It's like getting your teeth cleaned by the Dentist!

    I was given one of the Philips Sonicare HealthyWhite toothbrushes as a Christmas present by my father. At the time, I wasn't that impressed. I thought it was a boring present.

    However, after using it, I can understand why he was raving about it and why he bought me one for Christmas! After you use it and feel your teeth with your tongue, it really does feel like you have been to the Dentist for a check up and clean! It's amazing.

    I have no doubt that my teeth as cleaner now than they have ever been! Using this toothbrush has improved my dental hygiene and I would recommend it to everyone!

    I love my Phillips Sonic Care "Healthy White" toothbrush - my teeth have never looked or felt better ! Gets them amazingly sparkling clean & I can definitely see an improvement in the whiteness !   • Teeth so clean my dentist only wants to see us once a year!

    We've had electric toothbrushes for years, but since purchasing the Philips SonicCare 2 years ago I've loved the clean feeling it gives and my dentist noticed the difference too. It is quiet and smooth to use and the battery lasts a long time on one charge. Mine is 2 years old now and still recharge (and hold charge) reliably.

    The only thing I don't like is how expensive the replacement heads are, and they rarely come on sale

  • Never going back to a manual tooth brush

    After 30+ years of use of a manual toothbrush, being able to try the Phillips Sonicare has given me the opportunity to see how clean and healthy my teeth look after using it. This product does what is says and is not difficult to use in any level. The results are amazing and I happy with my whiter teeth. I would like to see the handle a bit more soft and curvy.

    Really great product, perfect introduction to an electric toothbrush for any beginners. The instructions are concise and the brush timer remind you to move at an even pace so as to cover all areas of the teeth and gums.

    From having a dental clean just prior to beginning using this product it has certainly maintained visibly clean and healthy gums and teeth. I'd still like to see a curved shaft to aid reaching the inner teeth/gum line without rattling other teeth. Would definitely recommend it(already have) to others.

  • 6 weeks on.

    So like my heading states we are 6 weeks on.. My teeth are atleast 3-4 shades lighter then when i started with this toothbrush. My teeth also feel alot cleaner and i must admit the cleanest they have felt i years. I have recommended this to all family and friends as i think its that great!

    Last review here but had to sum up the experience. I had my dentist check my shades again and I have gone up 1 shade in the time of the review but considering I am now a 2 I'm rather happy with that result! Going to continue using this toothbrush but honestly don't expect the 2 shade lift to a 1 as that may be too much of an ask! Overall a brilliant toothbrush and we will be buying a seperate one for the kids!

    It took some getting used to the vibrations that would stay around after I finished brushing. I can already see a difference in the colour of my teeth which is great as well. My gums and teeth have never really felt this clean and healthy before and my kids have even noticed.

    I'm finding that if I have a sensitive tooth day not to use the whitening option and it's all good for the following day. My teeth are looking better than they ever have. I find myself smiling more around people and not hiding my teeth all the time so that I'm more confident after using this toothbrush.

  • Awesome battery life

    I was a bit skeptical about the battery life feature, but to my surprise it actually has lasted almost 4 weeks. I think having a toothbrush with such great battery life is great for traveling or even camping where is difficult to access power sources to recharge it, truly amazing!

    The toothbrush has been keeping its charge for a long time. My teeth feel very clean and I like using it in place of a regular toothbrush. When I'm in too much of a hurry to brush for the full two minutes, sometimes I find it hard to find the button to turn it off.

  • Put to the Travel Test

    Our first recharge for the Philips Sonciare Healthy White was not until almost three weeks, so we were confident to take it on our recent overseas holiday. We particularly like that the unit still fits conveniently into a regular toiletry bag as the charger is not required. Pleased to report we were gone well over a week and it more than lasted to the distance!

Mum-of-two Rebecca McCracken has spent the last four years reading ingredient lists on pretty much everything she buys at the supermarket.

Like many parents raising kids with food allergies, a quick trip to the supermarket often means checking labels, comparing products and hoping to find something the whole family can eat.

Bec’s four-year-old son and 17-month-old daughter were both born with cow’s milk protein allergy. While her son has since outgrown his allergies, her toddler still reacts to dairy, making even everyday staples like bread a challenge.

“Unless we buy expensive sourdough for seven or eight dollars, we don’t really have a choice.”

Even then, it’s not ideal.

“A kid doesn’t want to eat a sourdough sandwich,” Bec laughs. “And fairy bread on sourdough is not great.”

A New Loaf On The Block

Bec runs an online community for allergy families, so she spends plenty of time sharing recipes, product finds and supermarket discoveries with other parents.

It was one of those parents who first told her about new JUST bread.

“A follower messaged me and said, ‘Oh my gosh, this bread is coming soon.’ I was like, ‘Where? When? I need to know. I’m getting my car keys and running!'”

Made with baker’s flour, water, yeast, vinegar, oil and salt, JUST bread contains no artificial preservatives, flavours or colours.

For Bec, it sounded almost too good to be true. “When we saw JUST bread, I was like, ‘You’re joking.’ A bread that’s fresh baked but in the bread aisle? That’s unheard of for us.”

Of course, there was one person whose opinion mattered more than anyone else’s.

“My toughest critic is my daughter. She is so fussy. We know something is really good if she approves it, and she approves it. She loves it. She’ll eat it plain, toasted, as French toast … whatever. She loves it.”

Bec says she was impressed too.

“I like it. I like that it’s only got minimal ingredients and doesn’t have the additives and preservatives that are in a lot of other brands.”

A Simpler Option For Everyday Families

Bec tried out JUST bread because of her family’s allergies, but she says it has a broader appeal.

“I think everyone is becoming more conscious of additives and preservatives in their food.”

It’s a feeling many of us can probably relate to. We don’t all want to overhaul the way we eat, but plenty of us are paying a little more attention to ingredient lists and looking for products that keep things simple.

Bread is one of those foods that’s always around. It ends up in lunchboxes, on the breakfast table, alongside soup on a cold night and covered in hundreds and thousands at birthday parties. When we eat something that often, it’s only natural to wonder what’s in it.

We are going full circle back to how foods use to be produced before companies got greedy and started taking shortcuts to producing food items.   • Grabbing your car keys and running for a bread ?? I can’t imagine doing so for a bread lol ! It’s nice to see that more and more allergy friendly products are being produced and put on the market.
    I don’t agree with the statement that “A kid doesn’t want to eat a sourdough sandwich”. It depends on what type of bread you introduce to your kids. My kids grew up with 7 seeds, rustic bread and sourdough and they love it. It’s also quite easy and cheap to make sourdough bread yourself.

  • I haven’t seen this bread in the supermarket but will be looking for it now. I have been trying to avoid preservatives and additives for some time now and as highlighted in the article bread it difficult to find, or super expensive, without them so I don’t have it often.

  • This is fantastic, finally a bread that is not full of nasty stuff. I will be going straight out to buy this. My son has ARFID and will only eat white bread, but it’s not terribly healthy. With this bread, at least I know that it is much healthier than the alternatives. Woohoo

  • I cant wait to give this bread a go (so far its always been sold out at my local woolies so it must be good). So good its suitable for those with allergies too. I think nowadays were all looking for cleaner options of ingredients in our foods so this is a step in the right direction.

  • I am glad more and more allergy friendly products are being produced and offered. I don’t agree with Bec’s statement that kids don’t like sourdough bread. My kids were introduced to sourdough and the most rustic and seeded breads from the time they started to eat bread, and they love it

  • Oh I cannot wait to try this bread! We go through that much bread each week and I always feel so guilty with how much my kids have – not anymore! Would love to see them introduce other variants in the future – multigrain and gluten free would be superb!

  • This is such a great product that I’m looking forward to trying! I’ve only been buying bread from bakeries the last few years because grocery store bread texture was so dense and unpleasant. But the hassle with bakery bread is I can’t get it everywhere! I’ll be really keen to give this a go
