  • Lets hope that there is still plenty of freedom these Christmas holidays when the borders open up.

  • We loved the general scenery in and around Brisbane. The gardens were well cared for. The traffic was fairly orderly which made crossing streets fairly safe. There is some great architecture in Brisbane. Our kids spotted the leadlight windows of one of the churches, something I wouldn’t have expected a primary school age child to take notice of. We were unlucky that there had been flooding not long before we visited so we deliberately avoided some areas. Those streets were very congested with tradespeoples vehicles. We were pleased to see that people were starting to get their buildings/ homes in some improvement compared to just a month or so before when TV news broadcasts have shown peoples possessions including wrapped Christmas Presents floating up against walls and disintergrating which was really heartbreaking.

  • How lovely it would be to be in Brisbane over the sunny season – warm days and balmy nights and no need for long pants at all.

  • I have family in Brisbane and have to visit soon with my new bub. She is too young to do the above, but I just love that there are so many wonderful free activities in the states of Australia. It is hard to keep kids amused and bank accounts under control during the 6 weeks of summer breaks. My Niece goes to a private school and she gets about 8 weeks over the summer holidays. It is so hard for working parents during this holiday.
