Christmas Baking is one of my favourite things about Christmas!

December arrives and suddenly you’re filling the pantry and stocking the fridge because it’s all about friends, family and a frenzy of food!  The long list of street Christmas get togethers, office Christmas morning teas (every other day in December because we all want an excuse to nibble on treats) and then of course Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Day and everything in between.

We know you’ve probably got your favourite Christmas Baking recipes but we did think it would be worth sharing a few new ideas to bring even more joy to your Christmas celebrations this year!

The three recipes below have been created by the MoM Cook Club team on behalf of Queen Fine Foods; home to the most beautiful quality ingredients that bring flavour, colour and sparkle to everything you create in the kitchen all year round but especially at Christmas time.

Love Fruit Mince but don’t want the time and hassle of a full size Christmas Pudding?

Christmas Desserts are a must when it comes to Christmas! Whether it’s parties or Christmas Day, it’s good to have Christmas Desserts you can whip up fast!

These gorgeous Christmas Desserts with Fruit Mince take just a fraction of the time it takes to whip up a traditional Christmas pudding and the Buttercream Icing using Queen Natural Vanilla Extract is a light and decadent dollop on top!

They can even be made well ahead of time and frozen if you want to be really organised.

Christmas Desserts like these little fruit mince cupcakes with buttercream and red currants on top are perfect for the festive season

Gingerbread! The most wonderful thing about this time of year!

Gingerbread Cookies, Gingerbread Houses, Gingerbread Tree decorations and even Gingerbread place cards for the Christmas table are a wonderful way to include the kids in your Christmas baking.  The base Gingerbread Recipe always comes together beautifully and fills the house with the aromas of Cinnamon, Ginger and warm cookies!

If fiddly Gingerbread projects like houses and tree decorations are a little beyond your children right now, you’ll love this recipe we’ve created!  So easy, so simple, and importantly, very quick to put together. Put the kids in charge of rolling the little red Rudolph noses made from Queen Ready to Roll Red Icing while you pipe on the chocolate antlers and eyes.

If you are looking for a Gingerbread Recipe for your Gingerbread Reindeer, look no further! We’ve created a Gingerbread Recipe for these Gingerbread Reindeer that is quick and easy!

What is Christmas in Australia without a Pav?!

Pavlova is such a family favourite at Christmas time. In fact for as long as I can remember, my Mum and I would make a pavlova together.  Certainly in the 70s it was a very traditional pavlova with a special topping of Mango for Christmas, but over the years our Christmas baking tradition of making a pav on Christmas Eve has continued.  Now that we’re older, we take the time to open a special bottle of bubbles and use the time we’re mixing and the pav is cooking to reminisce about the year.

If a pavlova isn’t part of your Christmas Baking, why not try it this year.  It’s easier than ever with Queen’s Meringue & Pavlova Powder Mix; simply add water and a little Queen Organic Vanilla Bean Paste and a perfect Christmas Pav is yours in no time.

Take your Pavlova to a completely new level this Christmas with this Pavlova Christmas Berry Wreath! We’ve created the Recipe for this Pavlova Christmas Berry Wreath just for you!

So there you have it! Three beautiful new excuses to pop on your apron and start your Christmas baking!

We really do think that Christmas and the Summer Holidays are the most wonderful time of the year … and we’re sure Santa gives us a leave pass on the calories too! So much love to you all from the entire MoM Team and the team at Queen x

  • If I was a goid cook, I might enjoy cooking more. If I enjoyed cooking more, maybe I would enjoy doing it with my kids. Sadly, it’s a chore for me, one I like to get done and over with as quick as possible
